Uncomfortable bed

Our stay with the support and the hospitality of the staff was very satisfying. However the 3rd person had to sleep on the coach since the mattress of the sofa bed was in terrible condition which one of the staff also confirmed it after coming into our room. All the springs was sticking out of the mattress which was against the health and safety regulations. Although we booked it in august and sent a message that we will be 3 people, the bed lining was not ready and it was expected from us to make it which I believe paying a high amount of money for a stay was overcharged with this service. I believe that I should be refunded. Looking forward to hearing from you from your earliest convenience. Yours sincerely

Loved being so close to everything. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room wasn't great as it was a bit noisy with a humm on the wall and we could hear people walking in the room upstairs from us. There should be more lighting in the bathroom around the mirror and next to both sides of the bed. So would stay againbut not in a ground floor room.

The hotel itself was really nice, but the room wasn't great. At the time we went we paid almost 300 pounds a night. Everywhere was expensive, but like it's really hard to justify everything for that cost. If it was less, I wouldn't complain. The pillows are really uncomfortable. The electronic blinds didn't work. There was something leaking in the bathroom. And there was just enough grime on things to where it didn't feel that clean. Specifically the bathroom. They have the bed up against the window, so one person didn't get a night stand. The AC seemed to only blow freezing cold air, and it blasts on you, so I woke up, feeling very dry. If I'm spending 300 pounds, might as well spend an extra hundred and stay at the Hilton or something. The employees were wonderful, the breakfast was vast and the location was good, but the room, not great. Maybe we just got a really bad room. Maybe we went at a time it was packed and cleaning up between guests was very difficult.

Was here on a Saturday in September! Noisy road, poor sleep due to ongoing drunkenness outside my castle view window. Could sleep in 15 minute intervals. Sunday was quieter. Location was excellent though.

Very nice property, view of the castle and right at Grassmarket. So much to see and do only 10-15 walk away in this perfect location. Questions prior to staying were answered promptly and clearly by the staff. They were very friendly and attentive when it came to questions about the local area and transport. Not the least expensive accommodation, but you get what you pay for, and we’d definitely stay here again!

Excellent location and staff. Overall the aparthotel was great with large rooms (for Europe) and laundry facilities. Almost everything you would need for a few days stay was provided and the kitchenette came in handy. Just a couple of hiccups - our HVAC didn’t work well for the first couple of days with the AC turning on despite the thermostat setting. The maintenance person came by and it improved but was still not quite right.
