Good location outside Charlottesville
The property setting is nice and quiet and plenty of outside space to explore. The pool is small but is satisfactory for young children. Kitchen and family room had plenty of room and all appliances ample and working well. The beds were comfortable, and it was very convenient to have four full bathrooms. The library provided a private workspace -- greatly appreciated!More attention could be given to the patio for it was not an inviting place to sit, even in the cooler evenings due to all the grass and weeds growing up through the bricks. Too bad because it could be a very pleasant space.Discrepancy in House description. It is listed as having 5 bedrooms, when in fact, there are 4. Two rooms with Kingsize beds, one room with a queen and one room with two twin beds. The downside of the stay is when the upstairs AC unit stopped working due to a malfunctioning damper. Property management group notified Saturday late afternoon, but it was not fixed till Sunday evening around 8 pm or so. Major disappointment. If you are going to book weekend rentals you should have in place the service providers who can make 24/7 calls. Very fortunate that the downstairs unit/ system was working. Temperatures were in the high 90's. Ending -- River Meadows Farm has a lot going for it and we wish you well!
