Dusit Thani Hua Hin
5/5 Excellent
"I recently stayed at the Dusit Thani Hua Hin Hotel and was impressed by its grandeur and classic décor. The hotel is quite large, providing a sense of spaciousness throughout the property. I stayed in a sea-view room on the second floor of the main building, which, although a bit of a walk from the lobby, was conveniently closer to the swimming pool and the beach.
Unfortunately, it rained throughout my stay, limiting my outdoor activities. However, the Health Club offered a variety of facilities, including squash, basketball, tennis, and even Muay Thai classes. It’s important to note that most of these require an additional fee, including access to the sauna and steam room, which I found surprising given the room rate of $179.18 USD per night. I used the squash court for 150 baht for 30 minutes; while the equipment was of good quality, there was a small flaw in the court that slightly affected play.
The swimming pool looked expansive and inviting, but I didn’t get a chance to enjoy it due to the weather. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a wide variety of dishes and thoughtful touches like providing both crispy and soft bacon to cater to different preferences. Overall, it is a great vacation spot, especially if you book a Club Room for more inclusive benefits. One note: being an Expedia Platinum member didn’t seem to offer any noticeable perks during my stay."
