Dusit Thani Hua Hin

It is well known that the beach in Central Hua Hin is not appealing - small, ill equipped, neither the beach nor the water are very clean. So this time I thought I’d choose a hotel a bit outside, hoping that the beach would be nicer. It is not. The Dusit Thani has a rather small and well kept private beach with deck chairs, but signs and red flags advise strongly against swimming because of poisonous jelly fish, barnacles and dangerous under currents (did I forget anything?). So much for the beach. Their main pool is very large, probably Olympic size, and there is also smaller “Garden Pool” and a kid’s pool. Rooms are OK but at least on the ground floor mold and smell seem to be a little problem even though the floors are tiles and wood. On the other hand, rooms on that floor give you direct access to one of the pools, depending on the side, and partial sea view if they are close enough to the sea (we had # 115; # 121 seemed to be the closest to the sea front). The place is OK if you like it gigantic. Well suited for kids. Overall I found it a bit over priced. I wouldn’t go there without my own car. There are quite a few attractions in Hua Hin, without mentioning the excellent and cheap sea food restaurants, but you need transportation.

Three of us stayed for 8 nights here and had a wonderful stay. We had initially booked a Superior Room (with an additional foldout bed put in the room) but decided this would be a little too cramped. The staff quickly found us room 443, a one bedroom suite with an additional foldout bed in the living room. The hotel is a beautiful property in landscaped grounds. The communal areas are particularly impressive, including the lobby and pool, but will let the photos speak for themselves. The food at all the hotel restaurants was fantastic, with the Rim Talay being our favourite, set right on the beach front. However, as you'll see from the pictures, everything from the poolside bar to the regular restaurant, San Marco (Italian) or Ban Benjarong (Thai) served up really great food. The breakfast buffet was a decent spread of western and Asian food, with lots of fresh fruits and pastries too. The service here was exceptional, everyone was just so friendly and accommodating. We really appreciated the little things, such as a complementary water both in the room and as we roasted by the pool and complementary daily fruit bowls in the room. The hotel provides an hourly shuttle into Hua Hin itself (stopping 1 block from the night market) where you can get excellent food either from the street stalls or one of the many seafood restaurants. At 50THB per person each way, it's a convenient way of shuttling back and forth. A tuk tuk will run you about 200-300THB each way so depending on how many of you travel and how flexible you can be, the hotel shuttle is usually a decent option. We loved the hotel as a place to get away from it all and just relax. If you want to relax, be well looked after, put on some pounds eating incredible food, and generally chill out and relax, this is a wonderful place to do it. We would have no hesitation coming back in the future! Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay.

I was so impressed with the service and all of facilities, especially at the gym and spa. Moreover, breakfast here is everything you have ask for Once in your life, you have to stay here! Worth it!!!!!!!

Staying at this hotel won't make you feel sorry at all.. This hotel have an awesome Hospitality; Nice Food and Very Comfortable room with Private Beach and activities such as Tennis, Football, Ping Pong, and many others to do.

The room is nice with good view of Cha-am beach. Bed is comfortable. Staffs are very attentive and welcoming. The gardens are really lovely and relaxing. There were a beautiful beachfront which was one of my attractions for staying here. There is a large-size swimming pool for both children and adult. Guests can also enjoy spending time at the hotel's spa.

The Neo classics design style hotel with a full and comfortable facility is one this main review topic. Great buffet breakfast with nice swimming pool and beach view guarantee your relax weekend or vacation. If you plan for a tranquil place not far from Bangkok so this is the place.

The room is not big enough for 2 people and, especially the bathroom is splendid! We enjoy staying here so much. All facilities are totally fine. Importantly you should not miss the breakfast here! It is awesome as well as there are so many kinds of food to choose like chinese, japanese and of course western breakfast.

I've stayed at the hotel with my friends for 2 nights with a great experience. I really like these Thai modern style whice design like a Thai palace and look premium. A room, restaurant, pool, bar, beach, and other facilities is great. I love a familiar service and higth quality of food and accommodation here and i hope to travelling and stay at Dusit thani Huahin again :)

This is a wonderful hotel. We booked a club room, which includes a fantastic breakfast. The club lounge staff are so friendly, and nothing is impossible for them. The kids club is small, but again the staff are great and so caring of the children. The Hua Hin shuttle is so easy and runs every hour. This hotel has a service culture that I haven’t seen in a while in Thailand. Keep it up Dusit. We will be returning. A true five star hotel property with service to match.

Our early check-in went very smoothly and we were escorted to our room on the 4th floor (superior room). However, we were not very satisfied, it was dark with a distinct smell. After negotiating and waiting for hours, we were given a bright and refurbished room on the 6th floor. Nothing to complain. Great amenities, gorgeous pool/sea view. We enjoyed the pool and other facilities at this resort. The gym is well-equipped. Most of the staff are very polite, helpful and make your day beautiful by a ready smile and great service. The beach isn’t the nicest we have seen, it tends to get a lot of rubbish and the only time I entered the sea I got cuts on my feet (sharp shells). But to have a peaceful moment under the sun umbrella on the shore and listen to the waves – for that purpose, the beach is fine. Southern Thailand offers much nicer beaches though. We relaxed a lot at the resort and we would come back any time. We spent a lot of time by the main pool, it was peaceful during the hours of sunshine. It tends to get busier in the evenings though. An occasional fruit plate in the room (some of the days) was a lovely add-on to our stay. The resort is located in a peaceful area, a bit away from the city. We rented scooters and were mobile to enjoy the hospitality of the city of Hua Hin and did some shopping there. Dining at the resort is quite expensive compared to eating out in the town. But I am sure it’s worth it. We ordered in and were satisfied with the food. Breakfast is great, lots of to choose from. The kitchen staff at breakfast are very helpful and service-oriented. The main restaurant can get a bit busy in the morning, sometimes you need to wait to be seated. We enjoyed eating outside as well. Mr. Nucha has been of a great help. Thank you! Checking- out was smooth as well and we appreciated very much that the hotel has granted us a late one at no additional cost. Thank You again! We will be back.
