Rooms were pretty dirty and sofa bed had visible signs of stains. Service is not particularly good either with front desk speaking limited English and often with quite a lot of attitude. For the price, this needed and should have been much better.

Hotel beautifully positioned on the seafront. However, fair to say the hotel has seen better days. I didn’t use the pool or restaurant l,so I can’t comment on them. Hotel very quiet for obvious reasons plus it was a Monday to Friday stay. The room was infested with ants,even on the ledge behind the bed. The fridge was a bit dirty inside with a part used bottle of coke amongst the sellable items on offer. Room cleanliness poor. Overall a 6/10 stay.

Great, Family-Friendly Stay

We enjoyed our 3 days at Methavalai. The room was spacious and clean, though a bit dated. Breakfast had a good variety of food options and everything that is supposed to be warm was warm (not all that common in Thailand). The beach is directly across the street and the Methavalie has an area reserved just for their guests, so none of that need to pay for a seat. The beach area is toward the quieter north end of town. They have 2 lovely swimming pools and a couple of childrens pool areas. The staff were very kind and helpful. Wi-fi functioned properly throughout. It's a good spot for anyone, but is especially nice for people with children. It was a lovely stay and we get to Cha-am several times a year, so will certainly return.

The staff at this hotel are great. The hotel itself is showing its age. The pool is great as well as the spa. Cha-am had poor weather when we were there so it was no surprise that overall there were not many tourists there. That being said, there seems to be a stopping over point for Thai tour groups and this made the night pretty loud on the first night and morning. The next night was the opposite so we’ll done to the staff.

Good location

The location is good , staffs are friendly and helpful, but wifi is not strength, I cannot connect for many times. There are a few plugs to charge electronics eqipments.
