this is a very good hotel, with very nice facilities. spacious bedroom and bathroom, nice pools , lobby... time to relax.... if you want to relax!. But the downside of this nice hotel is that there were no activities in the neighborhood. the city had not much tourism. We rented a bike, and made a day tour on ourself. The breakfast was superb. rooms very clean. staff was friendly, but not so much staff here. The Italian restaurant in the hotel was expensive and it was freezing cold. we were the only couple having dinner. the food was nice.

This was our second stay here. The first time was two years ago and we were impressed with the facilities and size of the rooms. The facilities are as before and the rooms are holding up well and still seem fresh and cared for. One improvement is the breakfast choice, which although not yet quite fully international had enough to satisfy our group of both Europeans and Thais. The pools are great and are a great place to stay away from the sand if you've had enough of the beach. Some have said that the hotel is too far from 'town', that's a bonus for us and the peaceful situation will keep us returning here. My only slight criticism is that the bar staff appear never to have heard of non-alcoholic beer or Coke Zero/Pepsi Max. It is a Thai-wide problem though. Alcohol or full sugar soft drinks versus water. Perhaps next time there will be a healthier choice.

We stayed here over a long weekend in August and were pleasantly surprised. The reviews on here meant we had pretty low expectations but for the life of me I can't figure out why they were rated lower than a 4 or 5. It's a beautiful hotel with 3 gorgeous clean pools, more than enough sun lounges and good facilities. The staff are DELIGHTFUL - especially our friend from the Italian restaurant. We have had nothing but smiles, helpful courtesy and hospitality during our 3 days. Again - the previous reviews seem very unjust. The hotel has a small kids club, gym, mini mart shop, 3 restaurants and fantastic views. It is not a big western or European chain hotel. It is a very nice, stylish and well managed THAI hotel (and most of the clientele were also Thai). Wouldn't hesitate to book again. My very minor gripes would be that they need more staff - especially at the pool and restaurants - but I have found this to be true in all hotels in Thailand. The phone ringing in the staff room was a bit annoying and the bed is hard as hell (again - normal for thailand). Overall - a wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel. Highly recommended.

We spent a weekend at this resort where we hired 3 rooms for family and friends. Such a peaceful and relaxing location with great sea views. There are several crystal clear swimming pools on the resort and the beach is just across the road. The rooms we booked were 3 Sea View Rooms. The rooms were all a decent size with a small balcony. The bed was pretty hard, but very comfortable. There was a good selection of foods available at breakfast and I would defnateley stay here again if I am in the Hua Him area.

Even though Cha-am is a very busy and quite touristy place, this hotel is located by the beach part that is very quiet and with no chair renting business. You can walk to the beach and enjoy your time in the hotel-own beach front. The staff were so well-trained with very good manners. They are also very friendly though. The room (suite) was nicely decorated and so spacious with a stair to the upper deck bedroom in the room (you will see another bathroom up there). BTW the stair was covered in dust without proper cleaning as we stayed there for 3 days. There is no fridge in the room, just a tiny box that is said to be able to keep cool temperature. We asked the staff about this and that advised us to buy a pack of ice and put it in there to make it cool. So we did. I already wrote a complaint about this upon checkout. I really love this hotel and I will find my way to visit this place again next time.

We booked two rooms for a week at the Grand Pacific Sovereign Resort & Spa, but first impressions were not good. They claim to be a five star hotel, but the welcome was nothing of the kind. Nobody was on hand to welcome us at the front of the hotel - weird for a five star hotel, right? Instead we had to carry our bags up the steep stairs ourselves and walk into a lobby that was teeming with hotel workers and with not a single other guest in sight for the 25 minutes we waited while they processed our room booking. Workers at the desk were confused about our booking, saying that they were "looking for a room for us". Some of the staff barely spoke English and would look at each other and laugh uncomfortably when asked a question. This was annoying. We had to sit in a depressing restaurant/waiting area while a bored staff member coughed and sneezed repeatedly in the silence. The woman in the gift shop (which looked like it hadn't changed since 1996) was snoozing. Still not a single other guest during this whole time. We finally got our keys. The carpet in the hallway was old and musty. The rooms themselves had shiny, dirty walls. There was mould in the lamps and stains on the bed. Feeling ripped off we went for a walk down to the pool - still not a single guest could be seen. It was like being in The Shining. The pool bar was playing awful music at a ridiculous volume, and it was then and there we decided we couldn't stay in the place. We talked to the desk about cancelling our booking but they told us we would have to pay for two nights for two rooms despite only being in the room a few minutes. We felt that paying for one night for each room would be fair. They wanted two nights for each room paid for - almost 10,000 Baht for thirty minutes. I sent Booking.com pictures of the room and they agreed that the rooms were unacceptable, but the hotel refused to do anything. I will attach the email from Booking.com as proof, as well as some pictures of the rooms. Booking.com kindly decided to refund 10% of the cost. Would I recommend this hotel to anyone? Yes. But only if I hated them and wanted them to kill themselves. The price for this place is low, suspiciously low, and it's my own fault for not realising something was wrong. Remember: you get what you pay for. Stay here at your peril.

Stayed in the luxury seaview...amazing sunrise and sunset from the balcony. The pools are great. The breakfast choice was really good. Good idea we made was to hire pushbikes out the front...80 baht for the whole day. Easy to get around Cha Am...long long beach. Lots of restaurants close by.

Came for relaxation, and that was no problem. The rooms are amazing, the pool areas are perfect! But, never order roomservice. Stay, relax and eat somewhere else. Did try the restaurant on the 3rd floor, we were alone and freezing with the air conditioning. But that food was lovely. Front desk should take a course in smiling and english if they want tourist from that part of the world. The beach right in front of the hotel is amazing and you have it all to yourself! Ps, 5* hotel does not mean better/softer beds.

This was the last hotel stop for 3 nights having been in 5 others on a "One Traveller" tour (excellent company) of Bangkok 14 days, and N Thailand. The best of the bunch super, quiet hotel wth delightful pool road. Rooms and hotel finishes exceptional complete with small balcony.difficult to fault but lots of steps and limited access on some levels i.e. Pool via lift. Music in bar good but a little loud when trying to converse , nothing new there though. Up far end of Cha Am 10 mins drive from fishing but for colour and vibrancy is a must to visit. Prolific amount of bars but not quite in walking distance. We grouped a taxi and it was fine 300 B each way. Would love to return. Don't miss a Thai massage on the beach perimeter under the trees, bliss or what.

This is beautiful hotel, fabulously spacious rooms & lovely pool areas. However, if you are elderly or infirm or wheel chair bound or even have small children in push chairs this hotel is a nightmare, just one set of lifts on one side of the hotel none of which go to the main pool area, long corridor walks & lots of stairs or very steep ramps everywhere, the architect should be shot, beautiful to look at - appallingly designed. Also I should mention the location - it's quite remote there no other hotels bars or restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Cabs cost 150 THB to Cha Am or 500 THB to Hau Hin one way. I feel bad giving yet another negative review but, the service in the bars & restaurant is incredibly slow the food when it does finally arrive is always cold as is the tea & coffee. I feel sorry for the waiters & waitresses they all seem to be trainees & there seems to be no support from senior management. Service at the front desk is not much better low morale, disinterested staff. Very difficult to Communicate as there is almost no English spoken. I want to put something positive because the hotel is beautiful, clean & spacious but sadly the bad points out weigh the good. Come on hotel management support your staff - get them some decent training, they deserve it, it's your duty.
