Lovely room. Listed building and high ceilings so a little chilly at times. Bed very comfortable. Slept very well. Had dinner downstairs. Service excellent and enjoyed our meal. Breakfast was alsovery good.

Great getaway, shame about the bath..

Stayed in the Heather room, beautiful old features, very comfortable. Spa bath switch jammed 'on' so had to be controlled by pull cord by door and plug leaked, couldn't relax in it as jets set to full power and on all the time. Food, bar and service were a great, very warm and friendly. Would recommend the venue.. But not that room.

From the moment we walked into the reception, we were made to fill very welcome. All the staff are very friendly and make conversation with you and genuinely want to make sure you have a pleasant stay. We had a large room and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was probably the best I've had at a hotel. We will definitely be returning.

This was a lovely place. The staff was marvelous and so helpful. The dining room and lounge were very pleasant, and the young man--whose name I neglected to get--was the perfect server.

Loved staying in the George Cranbrook. Only thing we didn’t like was the shower facilities in our room (12) the shower was difficult to switch on and more difficult to switch off! Very stiff knobs!

Lovely location, historic property and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Although the property needs a bit of tlc the rooms are spotlessly clean, beds comfortable and towels and bed linen first rate. Breakfast is certainly a cut above with great ingredients and perfect portions. We will certainly stay again.

A very historic hotel dating back well prior to Cromwell. The room was charming and the knight in armor in the reception area and swords over the fireplace with ancient oak mantelpiece in the restaurant was really nice as was the breakfast
