Philadelphia Marriott Downtown
4/5 Good
"My overall stay was good but I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered at the Thirteen restaurant inside the hotel. I stopped in with my fiancée for a drink, and from the moment we interacted with the bartender, he was condescending, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude. What crossed the line was hearing him make remarks about my accent to another customer. When I expressed that I found his comments offensive, he doubled down and told me that I "shouldn't be offended." No customer should be mocked or made to feel uncomfortable because of the way they speak. Instead of showing basic respect, the bartender chose to belittle and embarrass me. The experience became so unpleasant that my fiancée and I decided to leave. We had already paid for her drink, but she was so disappointed and uncomfortable with the situation that she didn't even drink it. We came in expecting a relaxing evening and left feeling disrespected. There are plenty of places that know how to treat customers with dignity and professionalism. Unfortunately, this is not one of them."
