My sons favourite straw was mistakenly thrown in the trash. I went to office to see if i could get it back they said no problem and went through all the trash for that day and got it back for him. Wifi was a bit spotty when we got there they came down to check straight away when he couldnt fix it there and then he offered for us to move rooms to fix the problem. Helpful friendly and always keen to go the extra mile to help with any enquiry. Would definitely return to this motel.

Room was clean and staff were super kind. But the room is old and the shower is a wet room (no shower boundaries except for shower curtains) so the whole bathroom floor gets wet, and the shower water pressure is very weak.

Good choice near the University of Canterbury

I stayed 10 nights in a one-bedroom apartment at the 298 Westside Motor Lodge. It was quiet and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped to meet my needs. There were extra electrical outlets added in the bedroom, but more were needed on the wall in the living room, as the TV took up all the outlets yet I wanted to work with my laptop at the table. Wifi dropped out a few times but only for a short while. The free use of a washing machine for laundry was help[ful.
