My correspondence with the resort was excellent. Joanne Pickering was always prompt to respond to all my emails prior to our arrival. She arranged for a taxi/car to pick up up at the airport. We were greeted at 2:00 am by Mi-Ann Miranda who was friendly and inviting. She had us driven to our unit and assisted with our bags 3 flights of stairs! Mi-Ann was responsive to our transportation needs because everything is quite far from the resort. She called taxis for us and arranged our transportation. She even held our baggage for us as we rented a CamperVan for a week and would return at the tail end of our trip back to Peppers for another stay. Mi-Ann welcomed us back when we returned remembering our name and again escorted us to our new unit and had our suitcases already in the suite! Mi-Ann arranged to have our breakfast boxed up for us because our flight home left at 6:00 AM. She had it ready for pick up early in the morning and called another taxi to arrive in front of our Unit right in time! We were also treated very well by Joshua Beckett (Chef/Kitchen) with his knowledge of Christchurch and the many restaurants, he made great recommendations and assisted us with our transportation as well! Thank you to such a fantastic staff at Peppers!

The room was nice, however when I went to use the toilet there was a deposit from a previous occupant. While it flushed away it was rather unpleasant. One other thing is that there is only one rubbish bin in the room which is located in the bathroom.

Had a great time here. Stayed 2 days in this property and the place was beautiful. Each cottage is kind of like a villa and we chose the one with lake view. It was relaxing. Spent one evening walking around the property near the golf course, etc. It is slightly pricey but was good for a honeymoon trip.

Had an amazing stay here (after initially getting myself lost trying to find the reception- bit of a sat nav issue 🙄) Staff were brilliant at the front desk - especially with directions. Anything I needed to know was offered upon arrival. I was blown away by the quality of the rooms. Well laid out and spacious. And the view from either deck was something else. A fantastic meal at the onsite restaurant- the prawn and pot sticker entree and the grilled chicken mains was delicious. Overall a very memorable stay and I hope to return again someday.

Front office on arrival were amazing and friendly and we got a comp upgrade which was so lovely! However the property had no feel to it and we left underwhelmed to be honest. Small qualms were we had no milk, no robes and the bread had been forgotten. After all of this we asked f we could leave an hour late on the day if checkout and were told we had to pay $20. So our introduction to the resort was great but the stay and departure was underwhelming.

Took the wife to New Zealand for a 40th birthday getaway without the kids. We stay at a golf course resort in the Hunter Valley so i picked this place as it was similar. The reception people organised a wine tour for us which was excellent. We ate breakfast every morning in the restaurant and dinner every night. excellent food, helpful staff.

I stayed at Peppers Clearwater Resort during a 6 day executive education course. I was upgraded to one of the luxury apartments overlooking the lake and was greeted with the delicious smell of freshly baking bread in the bread maker as I entered, I've never experienced that before and it was a nice touch! The apartment was beautifully appointed and was very spacious including a galley style full kitchen, a huge lounge, an eight seater dining table which served as an excellent study and work desk during my stay, a balcony with seating and an outside fire, private parking and a massive bathroom with wall to wall mirrors allowing you to view yourself from all angles! The conference room was a perfect size for our group of 25 and we were very well looked after with morning teas, lunches, afternoon teas and coffees/teas all day, every day. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the golf course and the lake, the staff are very friendly and relaxed, the wine list was comprehensive and the meals were excellent. We also dined in the golf club which was a magnificent expression of old world glamour in a gentlemen's club style. Highly recommended.

as already stated.couldnt get to enjoy view as a man locked the gate to get water and we didn't have outside seating at all. Very noisy air con or heater or water heater not sure which one all day and night from above our bathroom. So didn't get a good nights sleep.

We received a complimentary upgrade to a suite. Beautiful spacious rooms with lake view and huge very comfortable bed. Everything we could possibly need in the kitchen inc washer dryer and Sky TV in 2 rooms! Friendly and helpful reception staff and lovely food. Need to hire a car to enjoy Christchurch and Akaroa as only other transport is a taxi.

The grounds, views from the room, service and dinner were very good. But the wifi was painful to use, and cleanliness and maintenance of the room and buildings weren't up to 4 star standards*. Furniture in my Quay Room was average. I still enjoyed my stay because of the nice grounds and pleasant staff, but more conscientious hotel management would have made it better. Next time I might instead try The George hotel, which is more conveniently located amid the greenery of the central city. A note on noise: Voices from a neighbouring room were clearly audible at times. Occasional daytime noise from low-flying aircraft didn't bother me, but if you're oversensitive to this you might want to stay elsewhere. *A thorough cleaning and maintenance audit seemed overdue: On arrival I had to ask that the toilet and vanity be cleaned again (they did so promptly and were apologetic), a piece of rubbish lying in a pool of water by the front door was never picked up, the exterior of the neighbouring balcony needed a good clean, there was a gaping hole where the shower attached to the wall (with water running down the back), the wardrobe door didn't close properly, a few outdoor tiles had holes in them, and in the restaurant the bottom window frames were filthy with dust or mould.
