1850 Charleston Single - Historic District: Walk to everything

Legal and Licensed rental (OP2024-05543). Comfortable 1200sf, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath, renovated 1850 single located in old historic district in downtown Charleston in the active Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood. Private courtyard with off-street parking for two smaller cars or one large truck. Walk out the door to the King Street design and restaurant district, the Visitor Center, the Farmers Market, and everything Charleston has to offer.

The house is furnished with an eclectic mix of modern and antiques. It includes a fully equipped open kitchen, a living and dining room and a powder room downstairs, a master bedroom with a king bed, a second bedroom with two twin beds and a bathroom upstairs. Also included is a washer/dryer, flat screen TV with cable, hi-speed internet, and a docking station. The outdoor area includes a table and chairs. Outdoor dining area limited if two vehicles parked off street.

IMPORTANT!!! Please take notice that a large adjacent development is scheduled to start in December 2024 and will last through 2026. This work will pretty much affect all businesses and residences in the area, including all legal short term rentals in peninsular Charleston (our neighborhood is the only one where owners are not required to reside on the property during guest stays). The City allows work M-SA, 7AM to 6PM. It is also possible that there will be concrete work allowed earlier in the day. It will unfortunately be disruptive for everyone. The bright side is there will be a new park adjacent to us upon completion and we won’t stare onto an empty unmaintained parking lot.

Check out d'Alessandros Pizza, Chubby Fish, Barsa Tapas Bar, The Daily, Chez Nous, Revolution Coffee, the Grocery, Vern’s, The Ordinary, Indaco, Leon's, The Darling Oyster, Maison, Little Jack's Tavern, Cannon Green, The Rarebit, Malagon, and Island Provisions... all within a few blocks. Shop the King Street stores or explore the Cannon/Elliotborough boutiques like Indigo & Cotton, Mac&Murray and Beads on Cannon. Day spas, salons and yoga studios are also located in close proximity.

Located convenient to College of Charleston, MUSC, Charleston School of Law, and The Citadel. 20 minute drive to beaches and 15 minutes to Charleston International Airport. Quick access to all major transportation routes.

Owners are nearby and can promptly respond to concerns or offer assistance as needed.

Cancellation Policy: If Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation, the deposit will be refunded as follows:

100% of rental fee and taxes if cancelled 30 days or more prior to the Check-in Date
50% of rental fee and taxes if cancelled 14-29 days prior to the Check-in Date

The entire deposit plus any balance of the rental fee (less cleaning fee and security deposit) will be forfeited if the cancellation is less than 14 days prior to the Check-in Date. Shortened stays will be considered a cancellation and subject to this cancellation policy.

Perfect location. Close to a lot of restaurants and 4 minutes from the highway.Great old house. Had everything we needed and the owner answered any questions very quickly. Good location being walkable to many restaurants and enjoying downtown area. Nice amenities (coffee, shampoo, conditioner, clean towels, etc.) provided with accomodations. More comfortable beds would be better but overall great stay here for our girls trip! Thank you!

Beautiful historic home

This is a lovely home in a great location. The owner is easy to work with. We only had two issues. The water in the upstairs sinks is very weak and the beds are uncomfortable. All three beds had a hard mattress on a metal frame. The kitchen is well stocked and the couch is comfy. The porch was perfect for relaxing. There is quite a bit of foot traffic which made it enjoyable for us people watchers. The private driveway is a plus. If you are planning a trip to Charleston this home would be a great choice.

Perfect!

Frank’s home was absolutely perfect for our stay. It was an easy walk to everything. I especially appreciated the gated property since it was an all girls trip. We slept amazing. The large upstairs bathroom made it easy for several to get ready at the same time. The extra half bath was convenient as well. Frank was a great host. We would definitely stay here again if back in Charleston. Thank you!!

Awesome location, beds could use some updating

We loved the location, seamlessness of check-in, ability to park our car on the property, and the house. Our one minor complaint is that the beds could use some updating. Beds were not very comfortable and sheets/pillows were a bit old. Otherwise, everything was great, and we enjoyed our first time in Charleston!

3 Generation Girls Trip

We used this home as our base for exploring Charleston for 3 days. It was exceptionally clean, had a well-stocked kitchen, and the bathroom was spacious for 3 women to get ready in the morning. Charleston is all about history, and it was nice that this home had modern amenities but also provided a real glimpse of history as well. The store across the street had excellent coffee, sandwiches, and cocktails. We would stay again if in the area.

Excellent location to downtown!

We really enjoyed our stay. We walked to the shuttle stop the first day which was just a few blocks away and rode it to the city market. The house was very old and had so much charm. I love wondering what history comes with a house of that age. We enjoyed coffee on the porch and the little table in the mornings. The house had a welcoming feel, and good vibes to it. We will definitely be back again!

Well-located in Charleston

The house is within walking distance of King Street in a quiet street with a great cafe across the street. It is an old building but has a recently renovated and very well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. It also has very good air-conditioning so it was a great refuge from the heat and humidity of Charleston. It suited our group extremely well and we had a very happy few days there. The host was very kind and accommodating when our flight was cancelled by cyclone Debby and I would definitely recommend the property to visitors.
