We stayed here over Thanksgiving. While the rental itself has a nice layout and good potential, the overall cleanliness did not meet our expectations (especially considering the premium pricing paid for pets and cleaning)Upon arrival, we immediately noticed that the washing machine had mold inside, and there were no dish towels or bathmats provided. We reached out to the hosts, who did respond quickly by bringing towels and bathmats and attempting to clean the washer, but the issue with the washer persisted.As our stay continued, we realized the cleanliness concerns were more widespread. There were dust bunnies and cobwebs in the windowsills, the coffee maker had what appeared to be mold on the underside of the reservoir lid, and several pots and pans had burnt food residue on them. The bathroom floors were also dirty—the grout under the vanities was white, but the exposed grout on the rest of the floor was brown, which was concerning. The showerhead also had visible rust and grime.We didn’t raise all of these issues with the hosts during our stay because there were no alternate rentals available and we didn’t want to spend our holiday managing additional inconveniences.

Loved the Burnett Cottage

The layout of the cottage with the large master downstairs and the loft upstairs was perfect for our group of two grandparents, two parents, and two children. The cottage was clean and well-organized with everything we needed in the kitchen. Actually, we wanted to clone the cottage and plop it down on Cape Cod for our next family gathering!We also loved the location near the Newbo City Market and an easy drive to the retirement community, Meth-Wick.

We were in town for our Niece's wedding.

We stayed friday night and explores the local neighborhood and food. Saturday we did wedding things. The cottage was a good central location for us. A Max 5 minutes from everything! It's cozy and we loved our stay.

Great stay for quick wedding weekend

Home is beautiful and modern, well equipped. Train was a nonissue for us (including our child that naps 2x a day). First time in Cedar Rapids for a wedding, neighborhood is just ok. Centrally located though! Loved the private backyard!

House on the Corner

Used this Cedar Rapids location as a home base. It was a perfect location to visit and explore within an hour (+/-) radius of the city. This home was well appointed, very comfortable and located in a nice quiet area. Garage parking was a bonus.
