You couldn’t ask for a better location! Very clean with everything you need for your stay! There is an awesome Tiki Bar within walking distance for drinks and food!

We loved being able to walk the deck and onto the beach! The house was cozy and clean. We enjoyed the screened porch. We would stay here again!

Really cool house, perfect location. Outdoor spaces are amazing, house needs a deep clean and a little love. Its a bit tough to get to the beach.

Lovely beach house

We love this house! This is our second stay there and we hope to be back. The location is incredible: beautiful view and peaceful setting. The house has everything you need and is very comfortable. Unfortunately, just prior to our arrival the beach path was washed away and cannot be replaced. However, beach access is still available a short walk away and the owner stopped by to drop off a nice beach cart. Totally not a deal breaker. We had a great stay and are already looking forward to next year.

Great location

We loved our stay at this location as it was wonderful having the beach just a few steps away. Having said that, there were some major mold issues in the bathrooms and the tile floor is stained throughout the house. Since we spent so much time at the beach, the issues with the house didn’t really bother us. If the owners put a little TLC into this property, it would go from good to spectacular.

Love the location. Cottage well equipped in kitchen and did have some beach stuff in basement( didn’t use any, brought our own). The only suggestion I would give is to have a ceiling fan for screened porch. I do love the older style beach cottage’s. Also the deck and walkway to beach was super nice.

Location location location

The parking area is a bit overgrown giving the house an abandoned feel and I t’s just through the gate for Freeman Park so getting in and out is kind of a pain, but when you get to the perch by the ocean that doesn’t matter a bit. If you have dogs this is THE perfect house. The entire deck is gated so it’s super convenient. It’s not the fanciest house but you’re ocean front so it’s totally worth it.

Great property needs a few minor things

View is amazing. Property is as described. Few issues the grill is not worthy of cooking food on it to feed my family that needs to be replaced. Also, the pull out couch was broken and we could not use it so I had to sleep on a pretty uncomfortable couch, other than that everything’s great

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was nice. We especially enjoyed the screened-in porch. We ate all of our meals out there. Kitchen was well stocked. Two complaints - no DVD player as advertised, and the walk to the beach once the walkway ends is quite treacherous. Slippery with rocks and no railing. Also, the brush needs to be cut back.

Perfect Birthday Weekend at T.J. House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location on Carolina Beach right next to Freeman Park, where dogs are allowed on the beach. The home was clean and comfortable. The kitchen has almost everything necessary to cook, but no salt, pepper, etc. The checker table in the screened in porch is awesome! The walkway to the beach and the table/chairs near the ocean are perfect! We ended up renting a grill and two umbrellas from Got Shade, a wonderful company with great customer service!

The house was in working condition. Screened-in porch, water pressure, bedroom space, and back porch were all very nice. The couch was a bit uncomfortable, master bedroom tv should be on the wall, and maybe another tv in the next bedroom, also would’ve liked better cookware. Would liked to have had a vacuum and more cleaning supplies to leave things the way we found them. Proximity was great and cooking areas were nice as well.

Not Exactly What I Had Hoped For

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had imagined sitting on the porch listening to the waves at night....I heard the goings and comings of neighbors and had to listen to other folks' music. During the day there were noises from construction work nearby that you heard in house. We had to go out and purchase bug spray....discovered ants in kitchen and they got in our jeep! Bedrooms could use shades that block more light at night. If you don't mind noise then it's fine....you can tell it has age on it and I felt better after cleaning light switches and bathrooms...this is just me. I should have checked out location a little closer. Pictures online always look better then in person.

Reviewer Comments: We checked in on Sunday July 17th with no issues, by Monday evening the house had begun to be warm with everyone complaining about the ac. On Tuesday, July 19th, I used the app to alert someone regarding the AC. My son called the emergency number on July 19th several times before someone came to look at the ac at midnight and stated that it was rusted and no one should have been put in the house, and he did what he could. On Wednesday July 20th, we continued to contact with the temperatures rising to 89 in the house. On Thursday July 21st, I purchased fans and we were repeatedly lied to by management regarding bringing window units to the house. When the gentleman arrived he had 2 portable units and stated they would not cool the house. He was right. We were offered an opportunity to leave but with no where to go and we had to stay through Friday evening. We left first thing Saturday morning and the temperature with it raining in the house was 82. The miscommunication, lies and mishandling of the situation was far worse than the actual incident with the air conditioner. My husband requested a partial refund which we have not received.

Location, location, location

Honestly, the location of this property couldn’t be more perfect. Right on the beach, with a little private deck that takes you right to it. The beds were all a little small for myself, my husband and our puppy who won’t sleep anywhere but with us (😂) and the house is small- 700sq ft. But we knew that going into it and we had 2 10-year old boys with us too and we all fit just fine. We weren’t there during peak season so the boardwalk was closed, which was a bummer, but not the fault of the property owner whatsoever. The boys had a blast on the beach all weekend and my husband and I had such a great time relaxing on the deck and the screened in porch. The only reason I took a star away is that the place is pretty dated- it needs a little repair/repaint/decor work. Overall we had a blast and would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in a single family home right on the beach. The check-in/ check-out process was super easy, they left us plenty of towels/sheets/pots and pans to work with, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Also spent the evenings on the screened porch playing board games. Good communication with property manager and keyless entry worked great. Looking forward to going back again.
