I’ve stayed at this hotel 3 times so far while visiting my child at WKU. The drive to campus is easy. The first two times at the hotel, I was on the 2nd floor and in one of the wings (hotel U shaped). The third visit, I was on first floor in the front part of the building. Not sure if the front of the building is the original part and the wings newer, but the first floor front room seemed much older and dingier than the other rooms.
The rooms are clean and roomy. Bed is comfortable and it is nice to have the kitchenette/living area. Each visit, I could hear the people above me pounding around all hours of the night which is just unlucky, but the rooms are not very sound proof. If facing the front of the building, you can definitely hear the main road and parking lot noises.
The breakfast buffet and complimentary “happy hour” snacks (I think just on M,T,W) are both pretty good when it comes to those perks. There is a sitting area and tv near the lobby if you need to get out of your room for a while. There is a Walgreens right next door if you need toiletries, snacks, etc. Otherwise the area is not very walkable.
All in all, this is a clean comfortable option for visiting students at WKU
