Our stay was PERFECT!! From checkin with the manager( he’s amazing!!) this spur of the moment overnight in Boothbay Harbor was wonderful. Our room (#14) had spectacular views of the harbor. Breakfast was sooooooo good. Complementary cocktails was yummy: sitting outside in the comfy polywood chairs. Played cornhole, ate dinner at the Thistle Inn and a pre dinner cocktail at Neat. We have stayed in Boothbay Harbor numerous times but our first at the Topside. It is now our #1 spot!!

We were greeted warmly when we arrived and given a free drink. The room was well appointed with a great deck view of the harbor and was within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The complimentary breakfast was basically gourmet. The dining room was beautiful also with a great view of the harbor. Would recommend to anyone.

Would definitely visit again. Staff was very welcoming, has a great attention to detail. Breakfast was spectacular, a savory or sweet morning!! And the cookie of the day!! Always coffee and tea and plenty of snacks available!!! The location, at the top of the hill, made for great viewing of the area, not only from our room but the main building as well. It was only a short walk to enjoy the downtown shops and restaurants.

This may be the cleanest hotel I've ever been to. Great location on top of a hill near downtown Boothbay. The main house's veranda and breakfast area is everything you'd want from a seaside hotel. Food was delicious and I appreciated the Nespresso machine in the room, as well as access to other drinks in the main house. Expedia put us in the wrong room and the staff was helpful in getting us a refund for the difference in price. Note, if you're on the lower floor, you will hear the footsteps of the people above you.
