It was my third time staying at The Brunswick and always a delight. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I only wish hot breakfast was served. But don't get me wrong, the pastries and coffee is 100. I'll always stay here when I'm in town. The location truly is perfect if you have a student at Bowdoin.

Staff was great! Due to the planned renovation of the hotel there was no house keeping services provided and breakfast offering were very limited. The location was great and I am sure that once the renovation is completed it will be a great place to stay.. I would definitly stay there again after completion of renovations.

Both nights we had a very strong smell of marijuana enter our room. The front desk offered to move us the first night, which was fine. However, the next night, after being assured that there was nobody else on our floor (we could hear people in the room next to us), not only did the man at the front desk lie to us about nobody being on the floor, but when he came to our room to investigate the smell, he thought it would be a good idea to gaslight us by offering the most ridiculous possibilities for the smell. The smell was coming through the wall & he said he could move us again. My wife said she didn’t want to move again & that the people smoking the marijuana on the floor should be the ones to move. He said again that there was no one on the floor even though we heard the door open & close several times. There is a gleam of good news though. Their beds & pillows are really comfortable! This hotel will not be at the top of our list if we’re ever in the area again.
