We slept well until 1:00 am when we were instructed to go to stairwell due to weather. Power went out at that time. We slept the rest of the night after storms went away. We checked out that morning due to power outage and were not able to spend our next two nights there.
I’ve had nothing but issues since I’ve checked in they did not have my reservation received multiple extra charges on my credit card room key not working smoke detector hanging from the ceiling shower curtain falling off the rod a very, very bad stay.
It was a cheap hotel so I didn’t have high expectations. The front desk service was nice. Pool and hot tub well kept. Rooms are outdated but overall clean and beds comfortable. Unfortunately, there was a group of people across the hall from us that were absolutely terrible, slamming their door every 5 min until 1 am (not an exaggeration) and some children that were with them were running the halls until midnight. Because of this, my family couldn’t sleep until 2 am and the room alarm clock was set for 6 am for some reason…we all slept for 2-3 hrs tops :( I was hopeful the hotel would do something about the situation/noise.
Was booked because it stated breakfast was on site. Very disappointed in this because it looked like it was there a breakfast area several years ago. The toilet flush valve was broken and had been broken for some time. Had to have key card rescanned because didn’t hold the code. It was not a good stay.
My room appeared to look fine until I turned the TV on there was a green line through the center of the TV. Went to the restroom and it was covered in what looked like to be installation. I cleaned it up told the front desk. Came in the next day from breakfast bathroom covered again in the same nonsense.
The Hotel Bemidji is in a convenient location. The furnishings are very basic as is the service. This is ideal when you are traveling and only want a place to sleep. The beds were very comfortable. My only complaint, which for me is a big one, was that the toilets are not the more convenient high rise toilet. I had a very difficult time getting up from the toilet because it was so low. Very difficult is you are older. This was my only issue.
The first room is healthy, I found a half full booze bottle in the back of the freezer, someone's personal belongings had been left in the top dresser drawer, the bedding was filthy and it was a dog barking loudly in the next room. So I was moved to a second room and in the second room I found dirty sock behind the bed and empty pop can under the nightstand. I would say the least I did not sleep well with all of the commotion and having to move rooms. I was offered $15 off of the $111 room fee. I would never recommend that anybody stay at this hotel
Not medical issues friendly being own power strip!
Bed wasn't the most comfortable but I have back issues and knee issues as well. The handicapped shower stool would not hold someone if they needed it. Way too tiny! Also there is not enough plug inside for those with medical issues. We had to go buy a power strip as front desk didn't know if they had one or not.
