Best of the worst!

It is a shame La Quinta does not caution travelers ruble noise all night long!that their hotels are remodeling! At least you could EXPECT some inconvenience in advance! Lumberton tried to offset inconvenience with a nice bar offering iced lemon water, coffee & cookies. It had the softest towels ever! Best breakfast ever! The bathroom was falling apart & construction dust on the floor. The refrigerator was horribly noisy all night. How can reviews be accurate in the throws of a construction zone! I think their prices should reflect conditions.

Dirty and cheap platform beds that move ever time you move. No chair in the rooms to sit in not even at the desk. The ac unit was so nasty and dirty I couldn’t touch it. Unfortunately I have to travel further to Beaumont when I come to visit now!!

Our Worse Stay in Any Hotel!!

This was our worse stay at any hotel in the US, Europe and Asia. Assigned the handicap accessible room where the whole bathroom floor flooded when showering, there was blood on the sheet and bed spread, the bedding smelled, the mattress sagged, the room was dirty, the hair dryer was pulled from the wall, the walls were chipped and there was no phone in the room.

Elevator

The elevator stops slightly below the ground floor--so if you're on it, after it stops you have to push the "1" button again so it will move up a few inches so the door will open. If you're outside waiting, the light goes off but the door won't open (because it's too low) so you have to push the button again. When we mentioned it to an employee they indicated the owner is too cheap to fix it--as they have had elevator problems in the past. Stating they went 6 weeks without elevator. I'D NOT STAY with no elevtor!
