My room was located next to the front door i was continually woken up throughout the night with people coming in. I was also woken really early this morning when guests started leaving. The door bangs and was really squeeky. Room was nice size and comfortable bed. No biscuits with the tea facilities. Shower was good. Breakfast was expensive, took ages for us to be seated even though we confirmed a time the night before, took ages to be served. We had the full english, it was luke warm and toast was like cardboard. Unfortunately i wouldnt recommend staying here and we wont be back.

The rooms were very comfortable, the building was beautiful, and the customer service was exceptional and very friendly. I would definitely recommend. It was also fantastic that there was a lift, which allowed older members of the party greater access.

Really lovely area and easy to get to the city centre. Staff were excellent, so friendly and the breakfast delicious. Some elements of the room were looking old and worn, and the bed was extremely firm (loved the pillows though.

We stayed on a Thursday night for one night, for my partners birthday. We were kindly upgraded to room 201 which was a gorgeous room at the front of the hotel. Decor was quirky with a boutique feel throughout, the breakfast was delightful, and the staff were superb.

Pretty good value, but doesn't quite hit the heights it should given the location. Tried this place three times with mixed results. From finding pasta in the fridge, to being charged twice to, most recently, having a room without chairs or water provided, I just wish it would try harder. But.....great value

Interesting property.

An interesting property. The staff were very accommodating- especially over their limited parking as i unexpectedly couldnt walk well. They also changed our room as the first one was very hot. Both were well presented for older property.

The room had two single beds pushed together even though it was superior, the aircon unit didn’t blow cold air and was incredibly noisey, the room was incredibly warm all weekend. The light shades were wonky, the bath really needed re-doing and it was creaking like crazy when you got in. The room overall was a bit shoddy and needs a re-dec. The parking isn’t ideal but that of course can’t be helped, the staff were very polite and helpful. With a few tweaks it could be greatly improved - it is a good location

The staff were very friendly from arrival, and continued to be very good throughout. The room was up several flights of stairs, which was fine for us, but would not be suitable for elderly or infirm people, and lift was out of order throughout our stay. Place in general could do with freshening up (paint/carpets) although our room itself was fine
