This was our third overnight stay in the last 2 years and we weren't disappointed. This was a last minute idea as we booked on Friday to stay Saturday. Due to this we were initially offered a room with no view. We asked to be moved and were accommodated without hesitation... Great service. We were in a room much smaller than we had been in in the past but equally as lovely and absolutely spotlessly clean. Breakfast is always excellent and the service super high and polite.
Had a great afternoon tea in thus gorgeous hotel, the service and food were excellent. Unfortunately I wasn't staying but I'd love to another time, as it is stunning. The gardens are particularly nice and peaceful. The only downfall was that to park your car out front, costs £10 which I think is a bit steep. It didn't mention the charge on the website either.
This Hotel is a Haven of luxury. On arrival by car we were met by the doorman who took my keys & bags ... the car was returned on leaving. All the staff are courteous & friendly without being pretentious. The rooms are delightful & we had one with a balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens. I swam in the fabulous pool & used the jacuzzi... luckily I had the spa area to myself as early in the morning... bliss! It goes without saying that the city of Bath is just wonderful & has loads to offer, from historic buildings to great Vintage shops & lovely open air places to sit & relax plus some great restaurants! The Hotel & city come highly recommended.
My wife and I stayed at the Royal Crescent for 4 nights in early May. We have been fortunate to stay in many wonderful, multi-star hotels in the UK and Europe and this ranks in my top 3 or 5. We stayed in a garden level suite that was simply spectacular. We could walk out our sun room into the beautiful English gardens to enjoy an afternoon cocktail before dinner. We had dinner at the hotel our first evening (and breakfast each morning) and the food and service was superb. The entire hotel staff was uniformly professional, engaging and attentive. Each interaction made our stay even more pleasant. It is a cliché, but, if I could have given this hotel 6 or more stars, I would have. We have been to Bath several times, and, when we return, we definitely will book the Royal Crescent and will request the Jane Austen Suite.
Even on a grey day, Bath is beautiful. My treat was not only in Bath, but we stayed at The Royal Crescent Hotel. A beautiful hotel situated in the centre of the Royal Crescent. As our car arrived, the staff took our keys and our bags and ushered us inside. Our room overlooked the Crescent and was fittingly sumptuous. The first thing we did was to go to the fitness suite, where we swam before relaxing in the jacuzzi. I'd booked a few treatments and my therapist was Holly. She gave me reflexology and then a pedicure and manicure. Now I was feeling really spoilt! I returned to our room, where we enjoyed tea and home made biscuits while catching up with the newspaper. We dined in The Dower House restaurant at the hotel, which is reached via the enchanted garden. Wow! The garden, the cocktails and the dinner! Just perfect! Thank you to my darling for taking me and to the hotel for being so special.
After a gruelling few months, my partner brought me here for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday. Despite the dreary weather, we had a wonderful time. The staff were so friendly & helpful, the food is absolutely outstanding & the room was cosy, quiet & luxurious. Having the little spa is a real bonus, although it was busy at times. The treatment I had was excellent, & the team in the spa are lovely. Tearing ourselves away from here to return home was awful - we shall definitely be back!
Loved the luxury of the lobby, the old fashioned elevator, the beautiful gardens in the back, the indoor pool and the well-appointed rooms-amazing bed and linens, old fashioned clothing wardrobes, specialty made Royal Crescent chocolates for the turn-down service; a special place for a special occasion . . .
A beautiful sparkling hotel with friendly staff who were attentive but not pushing. The Spa we had to ourselves till our " couples massage".... which were heavenly. The cocktails were not overpriced so enjoyed a couple before dinner. The layout of the dinning room was cosy and not pretentious and settled in for a delicious meal. The garden was a little oasis with chairs and tables all with umbrellas spaced out so you weren't overheard. Thank you to all the staff and to Luke who found me some magazines to read!
Had a lovely afternoon tea sat the gardens of The Royal Crescent Hotel. The staff were very friendly and accomodating to dietary requirements and supplied alternative options for us (don't eat fish). The tea and food was replenished , so you definitely won't go home hungry. Would recommend.
Incredible from start to finish, no faults - the room was spotless and every member of staff remembered our name. The cream tea was beautiful, so many options and got to sit drinking champagne in the sun with my partner. Couldn't have asked for a better birthday and a memory I will cherish forever.
