It exceeded my expectations. It was my first time in Barcelona and I was extremely happy I chose Catalonia Barcelona Plaza. Definitely will recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel in Barcelona.

Great hotel for business and pleasure

Stayed at the Catalonia while in town for a tradeshow at the Fira Grand Via. Hotel is perfectly located right above the Plaza Espana metro stop, making for an easy morning commute to the show, and easy evening travel to the rest of Barcelona for meals & entertainment. It also has a great lobby bar and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Price is a little high, as are all hotels in Barcelona are during tradeshow time, but the location and quality of the hotel make it worth it.
