Every week, the Fork On the Road travel podcast takes you around the world on a quest for food, travel and fun. Join hosts Mark DeCarlo and Yeni Alvarez, aka the Traveling Diva, as they interview notable people who travel for a living—from musicians to chefs, comedians and more.  This week, they’re bringing you the Fabulous Food Show 2015 Highlights!

For their latest adventure, created in partnership with Orbitz, watch the video of the duo’s live broadcast from Cleveland’s Fabulous Food Show, with celebrity guests Cake Boss Buddy Valastro, Food Champion Loren Hill (the $110k winner of the 2015 World Food Championship) and Cake Queen Natalie Sideserf with her all-cake LeBron James head sculpture.  The show also features a comical Cleveland quiz, audience members acting in commercials for VitaMix and mustard, the winner of our recent contest. Watch and listen to the podcast for laughs, food, and chef secrets on this week’s A Fork on the Road show, live from Cleveland.

Mark also sits down for an exclusive interview with musical legend Frankie Avalon to talk music, Sinatra to Timberlake and Frankie’s Sicilian Recipes from his new cookbook.

Plus, if you’re visiting Cleveland soon, be sure to check out some of Mark and Yeni’s favorite things to do:

1. Rock out at the Rock &Roll Hall of Fame

The music emporium sits on the lake front in Cleveland, and is a MUST for even a casual music fan. As the World’s definitive archive for Rock & Roll, the Hall features clothing, instruments, videos, oral histories and one of a kind shows all year long. Check the site for showtimes and hours.

2. Dine at Lola’s Bistro

Iron Chef Michael Symon put Cleveland on the Foodie map, and continues to be the City’s biggest celebrity… except for this one basketball guy. His flagship restaurant, Lola sits on East 4th Street in the middle of Downtown Cleveland’s nightlife. Don’t leave without the Pork Chop.

3. Dance, dance, dance

Pickwick & Frolic on East 4th street, across from LoLa’s Bistro, is a fantastic, multi-room nightclub that houses several hot bars, a great restaurant, Hilarities Comedy Club and Kevin’s Martini Bar.  Go on Saturday night, and after the comedy show, slide into the Martini Bar to see the Lounging with Audi Show. Amazingly talented Audi Sharif performs classic lounge songs with the style and power that makes you wonder why she’s not crushing your iTunes! Host/owner Nick Kostis keeps the whole place humming with a smile and an old world affinity for hospitality that makes you feel like a Clevelander yourself.

Cleveland has several centralized nightlife areas where live music, great food and fun people fill the nights with a Midwestern buzz. These venues are scattered around the city in neighborhoods that feature hearty Midwestern food and, of course, die-hard Cavalier fans.
