We had an awesome time at the SkyBarn. The house is beautiful, clean, well stocked, and has beautiful mountain views. We spent much of our time in the basement playing air hockey, arcade games, etc. that it has to offer.Kim and Jim were very helpful and responded very quickly if I had any questions. We will definitely be booking again!

Gorgeous property with an incredible host. We loved the scenic views and quiet neighborhood. Home was fully stocked and have everything we could have wanted. The kids loved the game room and we all enjoyed the hot tub.

Our stay at the SkyBarn Inn was absolutely perfect! The property was spotless, with every room gleaming and feeling fresh upon arrival. Great time!

We stayed for a week in late July to escape the summer heat. It was just what we needed, 60s to low 80s. Everything on the listing was accurate. Spacious game room where our teenage kids spent a good amount of time. Relaxing on the deck in the mornings/evening was great. Hot tub was nice; clean and good size. The road up to the cabin is dirt and very steep in parts. We didn't have a problem with the Jeep, but I would recommend AWD and some ground clearance. I imagine the winter would be tough. But overall, great time. Nice location; easy to Boone, Valle Crusis, Banner Elk, etc. We didn't want to leave.

5 stars is not enough!!

We had a fantastic weekend at the SkyBarn. The house was very clean, cosy and well-furnished. The back deck is the ideal spot to get some peaceful and soothing moments admiring the mountain. The game room in the basement was definitely well appreciated by our kids; and what about the spa more than welcome after our days of hiking. Kim and Jim were very friendly, welcoming and caring. WONDERFUL HOUSE

This was one of the best vacation choices we have ever made! The house was perfect! The home was clean upon arrival, the location was very quiet, and the views were as promised per description of the property. The drive up was a steep climb, but better than I had expected per other reviews. (I actually drove it myself, which says alot!)The owners were very easy to work with and were great with responses to any questions, which was amazing. I would definitely book this house again in the future! Thank you to Jim and Kim for having us!

Stunning Mountaintop Cabin

It’s a steep road to the top, but worth it! Very picturesque property with everything you need for a great weekend in the mountains. Comfy beds, well appointed kitchen, a large porch, and relaxing hot tub. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful mountain retreat

My husband and I loved our stay at Sky Barn. The property was gorgeous as pictured and the foliage was in peak season. Everything was spotless when we arrived and you can tell the property was well maintained. We do not have a 4WD car so getting up and down the top switchbacks was difficult, but not impossible. As is expected this time of year we found a lot of ticks on our dogs, so be mindful to check yourself when you come back in. Overall we loved our stay and would happily go back!
