Beautiful mountain view from an old mountain home turned chic vacation home... so much attention to detail! Very cute decor and great layout for a large family and very kid friendly (ours range from 2-12). Our kids enjoyed both game rooms and we all spent a lot of time playing together in the garage. Thank you for stocking up great board games too! Kids also enjoyed exploring the woods around the house, swinging in the hammocks, and grown ups enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. Great location with proximity to nearby towns of Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. The drive way is steep, so don't be scared and be sure to keep momentum! After our first time up we got the hang of it. Everyone agreed that if we come back this way, we would all want to stay at this home again! Thank you so much!

Loved our stay here! Lots of attention to the details. The rental was very clean, cozy, well stocked, and had a great family room with some games, puzzles, air hockey table, etc. Great coffee bar! Fire pit and hot tub outside. Lots to do at the rental as well as being located close to everything. I do recommend arriving in the daylight since the one way roadway is narrow. As a flat-lander, it was challenging to negotiate in the dark for the first time. Once we got to see it in the day, it was much easier.

The place was just as advertised and was a wonderful mountain retreat for our family of four during our spring break trip. Lots of space and thoughtful touches to amenities, decor, and living spaces. We enjoyed the game room and just hanging around in the common areas. Great proximity to Boone, Blowing Rock, and lots of mountain hikes along the Blue Ridge Parkway. I had a couple messages back and forth with the host and they were very quick to respond and answer all my questions. Overall a great experience and we would book with them again if we decide to do another mountain vacation in the future!

We had a great time during our visit! The house is very cozy and provides a lot of entertainment for all ages. The game room provided endless fun for my neices (and surprisingly for the adults as well). The views are incredible and the layout of the living room allows for amazing views even during the cold. The beds were comfortable and we always felt well rested. The house itself is very close to the main area of Boone so you are within miles of grocery stores and things to do. I would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway.

The primary reason we booked this place was because it had a hot tub. I’ve rented many vacation rentals that have hot tubs. This was the dirtiest hot tub I’ve ever encountered—by far. I doubt it had been cleaned or emptied and re-filled since it was installed. I don’t mind some leaves or sticks, but this hot tub had visible dirt all along the sides as well as multiple human hair balls—including one just sitting atop the filter right under the cover so it was the first thing you saw upon opening the hot tub. There was also a distinctive bad smell in the water.Beyond that, it got dark early because we visited the last week of October and the dining room was unusable for dinner because the light either didn’t work, or when the slide was at the top, it flickered maddeningly. The video game room was the allure for my son. But it took us a bit to figure out how to hook everything up. The remote for the video game room tv was on the lower level (the video game room is on the second floor) so we had to search for it before attempting to plug things in. Don’t book for the video game room. I contacted the host about the video game tv remote being missing and the dining room light and both got very slow responses that were not helpful. One was just an auto reply having nothing to do with the issue. The other was received hours after I inquired and nothing helpful was offered to resolve the issue.

Alpine Ridge was absolutely perfect! Every area that we checked out inside and out was met with a WOW! The layout of the house is such that you could all gather together or find your own private spot to read or have some private chill out time. The fire pit, hot tub and garage game area were a must every night. The grandsons were in their glory surrounded by woods. The bedrooms and beds were spacious and comfortable. I could go on and on! A couple that visited us for an afternoon said, "when can we all book this together." Can't wait to return! And we will soon!

We loved the house and it had everything we needed for a great stay in Boone. The beds were very comfortable, and lots of nice additional touches done to make your stay feel even better. We spent a lot of time as a family in the garage/game area hanging out, playing games, and watching movies during rainy days. It's also a good location to so many activities and stores/restaurants

Enjoyed our stay! Great location - easy to get to Boone of course, but also Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. The house is cozy but plenty of space for the 4 of us. The garage space was perfect for the kids (college age), gave them their own hang out to play games and watch tv while we relaxed in the main house. Details for those on the fence - water pressure is good (we've stayed in places where it was a problem), beds very comfortable (thanks for chosing nice mattresses), basket of little items you might have forgotten, note boards for recommendations from host/guest for shopping, dining, etc. which was super helpful. Minor note: the shower bottles depicted in the photos were not all filled, so bring yours just in case. Certainty not a deal breaker. Saw deer on the property several days so a nice treat. Very satisfied with our stay!
