I booked a two-bedroom suite and paid the extra price to get more space for the kids. The beds in the suite are double bed not queen and it has one restroom. But the main problem was that the next suite was occupied by at least 8 young people. They kept coming from 8pm to 2am. I can tel because I can hear the knocking on the door and the chat. When they started the loud music, I went to the front desk. Passing by them, there were others coming with multiple packs of beer. The receptionist was understanding, she offered to talk to them and move me to another room. The kids were half asleep, moving them was not an option. We decided to stay and she talked to them. Obviously once people start drinking, it is very hard to bring some sense to them. They played music all night with noise and the whole party-package. I have been in many hotels, I do not recall seeing a party in a hotel room like that. Not sure what were the options for the receptionist, but the result was a tough night for most of the family that I won’t be able to forget easily. Breakfast was fine.
My wife and I stayed here over Thanksgiving. The staff is top notch. Wendy at the front desk is a true asset to the hotel and is very genuine and caring. The only downside is that the fire alarms went off on two separate mornings. The second morning a guest had decided to somehow turn on the stove by mistake and then leave their tennis shoes and shirt on the counter top. Too weird. The guests should be held accountable and held liable for the damages. The staff handled the situation well.
Great location. The property is really beautiful outside and inside. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.the small kitchen is great. Full refrigerator. Separate living area and the bedroom. Comfortable and clean beds. The hospitality is great . The staff very friendly and very professional. Plenty of places to eat around this place.
The hotel staff members were truly superb, both in their service and their attitude. The front desk staff, housekeepers, and the maintenance guy were all very friendly, eager to help, and generally made the stay far better than expected. Although the property is a little older than some we have visited, it was immaculately clean and well maintained. From the pool, to the common areas, to the rooms, its a great place for a weekend getaway or a business stay. We went for a weekend to attend the "Howling At The Moon" Country Music party, and the hotel made it truly a spectacular weekend. Thanks!
Would have rated higher but their WiFi reception is horrible, as noted in several other reviews. Even the cell reception is poor inside the hotel. The Front Desk is well aware of the terrible wireless reception, but all they do is advise paying an additional fee to upgrade to their "Enhanced" WiFi! Why should customers have to pay an additional fee just to be able to check their emails?
We stayed 4 nights. Service was very friendly. Hotel was exceptionally clean. Pool was a nice addition. Breakfast is nothing to write home about so we utilized the in room kitchen and cooked our own breakfast everyday.
Towneplace at Yuma has the best staff. We stay at various hotel/suites frequently. The staff's services at this particular location exceed my expectation during our multiple weeks stay. All staff is very friendly, friendly, and eager to serve. Our requests were always immediate taken care with the follow-up checks. Frequently, we greeted by calling our names when we were at the front desk. Very impressive. Such types of personalized services were not even found at any 5-star hotels nor first-class cabin in any major airlines. The services made you feel like you were at home and someone here cares about you, rather than just a strange place. Well done. Thank you!
I really enjoyed my stay at this place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Carrie and her staff were very professional. The rooms were nice, clean, and very spacious. The grilling area was a plus for the group to hangout and relax.
We were on a cross-country road trip from Houston to Seattle by way of the desert states. Our first night was in El Paso where we stayed at the TownPlace. It set the bar and we decided to stay at these hotels all along our trip. The one in Yuma was great, the staff super nice, the rooms were very nice and clean and breakfast was good and consistent at every location.
The little TownePlace Suites is exactly like all other Marriott TownPlace Suites - large rooms, small, bathrooms, comfortable beds, clean, well-kept, no surprises. Well, one surprise -- perhaps some of the nicest, most pleasant people working for Marriott and this is no small feat since we find most of their staff to be fantastic. The other nice thing about this hotel is its location: across the road from one of the largest and quietest shopping complexes we had ever encountered. We had no idea that shopping would be our diversion on the one day we were in Yuma on our way to Tucson from San Diego. Highly recommend this hotel!
