Great location, easy taxi ride from the train station & we could easily walk to city center. Apartment was homey, spacious & comfortable with everything we needed for a 3 night stay, including a washer/dryer to do our own laundry. Definitely recommend staying here when in York

Great find

We were really happy with the flat. Great location, lots of space, everything we needed and the added bonus of a garage. The communication was great, there was a small problem with the hot water when we checked in and Patrick was there within 10 minutes and sorted it out. There was a bit of noise from above as it sounded like children running about and banging but this was just unfortunate and did not detract from the accommodation. Would definitely stay again.

This was such a nice property for our family of 5. The location was excellent and everyone had lots of space. The view was great, especially at sunrise.The hosts communicated well and the property was even better than we expected. We would absolutely stay here again.

What a lovely place. And Patrick the host was impeccable. They went above and beyond to deal with my chemical sensitivities, switching out to fragrance free soap & cleaners for me, and opening the windows and completely airing the apartment before arrival. They sent a great e-mail that explained in detail how to get to the property & how to access it. Worked flawlessly. The location was fabulous, we easily walked everywhere. Patrick even answered my questions about where to find a specific gift I was looking for. I will say that there are a few things that I should mention however. It is an end unit, with the one bedroom on the ground floor. The entire apartment is in a line (bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom), with the bedroom in the front (with the bay window), and there is a small sidewalk & boat dock just outside. So at night we had to close the curtains.There is a small hallway that leads from the living area to the bedroom that is 2-steps down, then 2 steps back up (lowered to avoid hitting your head on the stair to the upstairs apartment??). With the curtains closed it was dark & doing those steps at night to get to the opposite end of the apartment to go to the bathroom was a bit dicey. Fortunately I brought a small battery tealight and placed it on a step so I could see at night. Also, a small written sheet to explain basics, like garbage/recyling requirements, location of hair dryer (desk in bedroom) & outlet adapter (kitchen cupboard) would be helpful.

The apartment is in an excellent location right by the river, two minutes walk from several restaurants and five minutes walk to York centre. It was lovely and warm and the garage a huge bonus. The kitchen was well equipped. We were surprised that there was no welcome pack as is standard in self catering accommodation and the kettle was heavily lime scaled. We bought some descaler but it needs several attempts so we had to use a pan to heat water for drinks. The person in the accommodation above the apartment was very noisy and played music every night so that really spoilt our stay in an otherwise quiet location.

Lovely place

Beautiful location right next to the river and a few minutes walk into the city centre and all the attractions. Owners were very helpful and sent us information on things we could do in York on our visit. Property was extremely comfortable. Lovely spacious living room looking out on to the river. There were five of us, but could easily have slept three couples and two extra. Would definitely go again.
