Very comfortable unit in a country setting away from the congestion of York. The only negative point was that the WIFI was weak in the unit we were in. Nice, historical location.

Nice place but a few things amiss

I booked this on the strength of it's rating but found that a few things weren't quite right... Examples: The door did not lock from the inside, there is an Ill fitting bolt on the door but the key was misaligned with the handle so could not be properly locked, The bathroom window did not close fully, There were a few cobwebs throughout the rooms and some dirt around the cupboard handle in the bathroom it had clearly only very briefly been cleaned Hotels.com says checkin was 11am it's 3pm The host has occasionally barky small dogs
