The lobby was nicely decorated and inviting. Comfy seating to wait while the small queue of guests were dealt with. Check in was quick and uneventful.
I was given a room on the second floor. The room itself was big and bright with a huge window. The bed was a really good size and pretty comfortable.
The room looked very tired and rundown, lots of scratches and chips around the edges of doors and walls. The bathroom was ok but very small. I had to laugh because there was a sign on the bathroom mirror boasting about how clean their rooms are, whilst right underneath it were drops of blue toothpaste all around the sink vanity. The toilet constantly dripped after flushing.
The USB next to the bed was a nice touch, but a previous guest had left something wedged in there, so it didn’t work. The TV had also had the aerial and power lead removed from the back of it, so it took me a few minutes to get that all hooked back up again to get the TV going.
It was an adequate stay, but the hotel was nothing special. I couldn’t report any of the issues as I checked out, because the fire alarm test was happening.
