The hotel was okay but overnight parking nearby is impossible. Breakfast could definitely have been better, the quality and selection just wasn't as good as it could have been. Some long-term grime in the bathroom but not too bad. Other than that it's a very pleasant hotel, nothing special but nothing terrible.

The room was lovely, clean and a decent size. The twin beds were like two small double beds, which was amazing, I hate sleeping in a single bed!! Breakfast was buffet style and had a really good selection, the only downside was you couldn’t get a proper cup of tea! The water came out a multi drink machine, so the tea ended up looking frothy (not nice). That aside, we had a lovely stay and will definitely stay again.

Room was comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful. Service at bar was slow. Didn’t really explain the lighting until we asked. Able to store case before check in and after check out so we could wander around York. Breakfast was a great choice, buffet style. Enjoyable stay and would stay again

We were put in an accessible room will cord pulleys everywhere, a bed that was so low to the ground it was hard to get in or out of, a wet room with more bars and handles than I care to mention, no comfy seating just big open spaces for wheelchair access…not quite the romantic night I’d planned.

Friendly staff and refurbished room but not very clean. Thermostat was restricted after 22c and room cold as wasn’t reaching that temperature. Smell from sink waste was awful and we could smell it in the room. Staff attempted to irradiate but apologised as all the plumbing has the same issue with sewage smells
