Great location. Service staff were very pleasant, love the turn down service with our little M&M chocolates. Bath salts and loofah made a nice bath after a long day sightseeing. Room was very spacious and so was the bathroom, separate shower and toilet.

AC broken in first room, so had to be changed. New room was smaller and no compensation for being without air for several hours/hastle of moving rooms. New room air was pretty poor as well, entire hotel quite hot. Food options way overpriced compared to hotel room prices.

This hotel is by far one of the most elegant hotels I've ever been to. From the moment you arrive onto the grounds, you feel like you're coming up to a huge lush villa. The sitting area on each floor is spacious and absolutely gorgeous. You can tell back in the day when it was new that it was very luxurious and top notch. The fixtures are all Grohe and the rainfall shower was the strongest water pressure of any I've ever used. Unfortunately, time has lapsed and the rooms and furniture are a bit dated now. That being said, I would still stay here again in a heartbeat. One word of caution, the hotel still has smoking rooms. They tried to give us a smoking room that was huge because they ran out of non-smoking rooms when we checked in. They finally gave us a fairly small non-smoking room. The electrical plugs in the wall were odd because most of them are made for UK. I didn't bring that adapter, just the ones for China so I only found 2 that fit. The amenities are typical of high end hotels in China with nice slippers. The location is decent inside the wall but not close to Muslim St or the city walls.

Good location, generous accommodations - like many others, I was upgraded to a junior suite. Furnishings in good condition but very dated in style and living room area not as comfortable as it could be. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, promise that accommodation includes free car from airport was not honored, although the taxi was not too expensive.

All of the staff members were very friendly and accommodating. Patrick at the concierge helped me with receiving the late luggage from the airport while I was out, he helped me organize the trip to see the terra-cotta army, and made sure I was well taken care of. The hotel accommodated my request for a late check out and always inquired into whether they were meeting my expectations. Not a too far of a walk from all of the attractions. If you don't like walking, a short cab ride from most things.
