The hotel concierge is best and very helpful. We found a local group tour which we would like to go and a 小梁 was most helpful to help us booked it. Throughout our stay he was always there to greet us, did the recommendations on where to eat and to buy local products. His leader Leo is helpful as well! The services at the club lounge is excellent as well. It is our first time in Xi'an and for holiday and the hotel helps make our trip enjoyable.

This hotel was our second accommodation on our Emperor Tours Luxury Tour. ( Please see my reviews on Beijing which was our first stop). My wife and I were upgraded to a superior room, which was very clean, served good food and was managed by very friendly staff who could not do enough for you. This hotel is set back from the Main Street with good security (e.g. Entrance and exit Traffic barriers). I have to say that whilst this security measure is in place, at no time did my wife and I feel threatened, not only in Xi'an but in the whole of China. At times the traffic noise could be heard despite being on a high floor, but it did not interfere with sleep in any way. If you are prepared to spend a little extra for a good room, you can forget about China being behind the times or as some still view it, a third world country. This hotel epitomises the progress China has made over the years and it must be credited for the pace at which it has developed. Hotel recommended for all the usual attributes; nice staff, great food, beautiful accommodation, clean throughout!

This is huge corporate hotel lacking any character or charm. It is modern and boasts many features. We stayed for two nights. Our room (5531) was on the fifth floor but had minimal view out of the large windows. To be fair the room was huge, had a glass fronted bathroom with sink, bath and shower and was comfortable. We ate a snack in the bar and it was the most expensive meal we had in China. Breakfasts consisted of a large and varied buffet so there was something to suit all tastes. Staff were friendly and helpful. The biggest issue was the air conditioning which we could not get to cool the room. We used the low tech opening of the window! Only as we were checking out did we see they had delivered fans to each room as they had recognised there was an issue. I would have expected a ‘luxury, hotel to have checked that the air conditioning was working and take immediate action.

We had 2 nights here in a suite, asked for a room move as air con didn’t work, room was musty & bed was hard. Were moved up the corridor still very hot so got a fan for room. Checked into the hotel in club lounge which we missed food service by 5 minutes, all food still out but we couldn’t have any only were able to watch it get taken away slowly. Welcome drink is only a soft drink. After complaining we were very well looked after for the rest of our stay & they did try to make up for a bad start to their credit with some wine & a dinner, a nice touch.

This is one of the best hotels I ever visited. It's very beautiful and the rooms are very big and comfortable. The old wing of the hotel is a classic colonial building. The location in the middle of the old city is great (only 10 walking minutes from the market).

Club rooms are spacious and comfortable, however air conditioning is not effective, cleanliness could be better, curtains filthy. Club lounge is quite dark and does not have a relaxed feel with only limited lounge space, mostly table and chairs. Good location in the city for sightseeing.

We had a very nice comfortable stay here, we would definitely recommend the hotel for its location as well. Very clean with nice amenities, enjoyed the garden tub, wish that it was a jacuzzi though, because after walking all day sight-seeing that would have been nice.

We stayed recently for two nights on a `tour of China!` Check-in was efficient and speedy. As is apparently usual in China, you need to ask for a `non smoking room` - if that`s what you want - we did and were upgraded to a suite ...! Very nice, clean & spacious. Food in the hotel and restaurants was good. The hotel should be great - but is let down by minor details - only two milk sachets in the room - we had to ask for more, only one shower gel - had to ask for more. Both breakfasts we were put on a partly set table - had to ask for spoons, serviettes, cups, coffee etc, etc. Pity !!

Overall it is Great hospitality. Friendly and Helpful customer service which made my stay in China easy and fruitful. Hotel located at the CBD which makes it very convenient and superb location for travel, food and shopping.

Had a great stay here. Hotel was immaculate and the staff were attentive. Initially we had to wait to check in as a few guests before us jumped the line into the priority check in q and no one from front desk checked to see what our status was. Turns out the guests in front of us were non status so they need to improve this. Anyhow - we enjoyed the hotel and took advantage of the club lounge and it's benefits. The staff were excellent in there - as was the breakfast. The room was perfect. Clean and well presented. We liked it. I normally go with IHG Hotels and their Rewards Club as I am Platinum Elite but certainly I will consider the Sofitel brand in future for my business travels.
