My daughter, grandkids, and I went to Clemmons NC for a one nighter and enjoyed our stay here. The area had a gem mining adventure for the kids and a winery with llamas for all of us. This hotel was perfect. A little worn but very clean with a very nice staff! We had the outdoor pool to ourselves and the breakfast buffet was above excellent!
We stayed here twice. traveled with our family from Ohio to go to Myrtle Beach. The Had a double queen room. Room was very cleaned and big. Beds are big enough for two adults. Hot breakfast was excellent!! We will stay here again! A lot of places to eat around. Pete's Family restaurant was my favorite. Thank you!
We stayed at the Village Inn when we purchased a package for the North Carolina Wine Festival. The package included a room for the night, two tickets for the Festival, free shuttle to the Festival, buffet dinner and breakfast. It was a wonderful deal. Check in was quick and efficient. The room was comfortable - great beds - and very clean.
We had a wonderful time. The room was big & was so clean. The bed huge. I don't think i have ever slept in a bed that big. The staff was very friendly & made sure we had everything we need. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
A wonderful place to stay. Give us a nice room on 1st floor. At first the AC would not work but maintenance came and found the problem and was fixed to or satisfaction. The location was excellent for everything we needed and wanted to do. Staff was very helpful
I booked through a 3rd party, so I was able to pretty much resolve our issues through them. Some of the things that went wrong may have been out of the hands of the property, however, some were most definitely the responsibilty of Village Inn. We stayed for three nights, once again booking through a 3rd party. Confirmed a King Room with Buffet Breakfast, Free Parking, etc. Upon check-in, we were advised that a King wasn't available- that the reservation should have been confirmed as a dbl queen, we were put in a double queen (same price). There was also a discrepancy with the price we paid, but the 3rd party resolved it easily. Room was a little dated, but comfortable. Took a walk of the grounds and since we had targeted a hotel with pool, as it was a beautiful weekend, we went to sit by the pool and noticed that there were no lounge chairs and the surrounding gate was locked. Upon inquiry, we were told that we could not go in the pool because they were awaiting their inspection, and there were no chairs as to discourage patrons from getting into the pool. We took our camp chairs and sat in a grassy area for an hour, lol. The next morning, we went to have breakfast at the buffet and were told that it was not included in our room rate, and it was $7.95 per person. Which for three days would have been about $50 for the two of us. It's not a great deal of money, but we opted to eat elsewhere and had great breakfasts for less. Once again, this was resolved by the 3rd party. They had been advertising a "breakfast included" special and it's possible that the front desk was not advised? We were offsite for the greater part of the weekend. The Village Inn is an event space, and is set up for multiple events to run at one time. There were weddings occurring throughout the weekend, none of which we heard. However, there was an onsite Camaro convention, with over 200 cars in the parking lot and a band that played Friday and Saturday until 11pm. The band was audible, we liked the music so it didn't really deter us, but to some it may have been off putting to hear that late. The hallways had some inebriated revelers, once again not a problem for us overall, and they weren't a hindrance after 11pm. There was ample parking, onsite and across the street - however the Camaro conference did fill the majority of the immediate parking area. Upon return to our room on the second night, we walked into a large leak in our ceiling, over the desk and some of luggage and belongings. Completely saturated some of our things and the leak was substantial. We went to the front desk and were offered and immediately given another room, ironically a King Room. The remainder of the weekend was uneventful. I've reviewed other hotels much more harshly for less infractions. However, for the area and the convenience, this is a decent property. I am giving our experience the benefit of the doubt, and considering it is an event driven property, I feel that on a different weekend we may have had a much better outcome. The Customer Service was not really spot on. I do thank the front desk person on Friday Night, May 19th! If we should return to the area, I would likely drive a little further for a quieter property, and not risk our obvious unlucky experience again.
I spent one night at the Village Inn for a wedding, and not only was the room clean and economical, but the customer service was great! The location was very conveniently located near lots of restaurants and shopping centers--which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay in this hotel again!!
We were only there for one night but the room was clean and quiet. The room had an older air conditioning unit that was cold. We just turned it off and slept like babies. Other than the old a/c everything else was updated.
We spent one night here on our way down to Florida for Spring break. Affordable and accommodations were slightly better than the price reflects. Where they set themselves apart is their customer service. We arrive late in the evening (almost The A.M.) and the man working the front desk was polite, attentive, and helpful. We were checked in and in our room in a matter of minutes. In the morning we went on our way continuing the drive to Florida and about an hour down the road my son realized that he had left his head phones in the room. We called and asked if they would let us know if anyone had found them. They called about 2 hrs later letting us know they had them and would mail them back to our home address. A couple days after we got back home, the head phones arrived in the mail nicely packaged up and in one piece. Thanks Village Inn staff for the great customer service. It set a great example for our kids and they will not forget it.
This is an old resort property right in the middle of the bustling village of Clemmons. Near all kinds of shopping, excellent golf courses and immediate access to I-40. We were staying for at least 4 days so we wanted something in the budget price range yet with basic comfort and quality. The Village Inn has all of this. We had an executive king room that was just off the lobby which made it very convenient for going and coming and for going to the restaurant. The room was quite large with a pull-out sofa bed, refrig, microwave, nice work-desk with good lighting, charging stations, comfortable bed and a bathroom (while not large) that was self contained -- everything including the sink in the bathroom -- sink in bedroom is a pet peeve of mine. A hair dryer, an iron and board were also in the room as was a nice sized closet & chest. Free Wi-Fi was provided that was faster than what one finds in many hotels. The floor was tile as opposed to carpet which we like as it ensures cleanliness. Most of the rooms do have carpeting, however. While the proximity to the lobby was convenient, it had one downside which was loud talking beginning at 4 AM in some cases. It didn't last long but it occurred on 3 of 4 nights. If this would be bothersome, request a room in a different hallway. Two areas for improvement: 1) the guest laundry room was adequate but could use a new coat of paint. The washer and dryer worked fine, but the washer leaked and the "fix" was to pile three or four towel in a big heap where the water was accumulating. PAINT THE ROOM AND FIX THE WASHER! 2) As is common at most hotels in this day and age, a computer was provided for guest use in the comfortable lobby. Unfortunately, it must have been at least 5 or 6 years old (maybe older) and did not operate properly -- slow, cumbersome, etc. I needed the printer so I had to make do. The Wi-Fi service was actually slower that that in the rooms with my own laptop. GET A NEW COMPUTER EVERY 2 YEARS AT MOST! All that said, we do recommend staying here and we had a very nice stay.
