Jo, the host who are very nice and friendly. Location is in the town centre, few minutes walk from the train station. The property is aged, but Jo maintain everything in good condition and tidy. The breakfast is good also. Compare the prices with the neighborhood, I will say it's value for money.

Enjoyable Friendly Welcoming Stay.

The room was compact but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was exactly what we expected and not disappointing in anyway. The corridor and stairway was not well lit. My only bugbear was that the property was listed as free parking but in reality, it is street parking and the luck of the draw if you can find a space nearby. I think free parking should mean that the owner can provide somewhere to park. This is more an issue for Hotels.com than for the property owner.

5月に同宿に宿泊したらしき日本人の手書きのThanksメッセージがダイニングに飾られていました。もし、自分だったらと思うとかなり恥ずかしい状態でした。晩御飯を部屋で食べてもいいのですが、暖かい食べ物の持ち込み禁止とのことでした。詳しく聞いてみましたが、フィッシュ&チップスやピザのテイクアウトは部屋に匂いが残るからとのことです。お陰でずっとスーパーのサンドイッチを食べていましたが、ポットがあったので、粉スープでも持っていけば良かったです。

Hyvällä & rauhallisella sijainnilla oleva perinteinen B&B-tyyppinen majoitus. Kävelymatkan päässä rautatieasemalta ja aivan Windermeren kahviloiden&kauppojen tuntumassa. Majatalon emäntä Jo on ystävällinen ja aamiainen on runsas ja maukas. Huoneessamme oli isot ikkunat talon edessä olevaan puistoon. Huoneessa olevat WC/pesutilat ovat liukuovet takana ja suht simppelit, mutta riittävät. Voin suositella!

The room was comfortable and clean, the service from the owners was exemplary, and the breakfast was well cooked. However the best thing by far was the shower. If you travel a lot then you know the trials of hotel showers, even some of the best have mediocre ones, not so at Westbury House. Not only was the water fantastically hot, there was full pressure even without using the massage setting. To be able to come back from a day of scaling the fells and have a shower that blasts off all the grime and sweat of the day is absolutely glorious.
