Couldn’t wait to leave- disappointing.

Stays for 2 nights at this very poorly managed hotel. The room requested was lake view. Well it had some little stream of water view when u stand and look over the window. Let alone room service there was not even a provision of a simple jug of water for guest on arrival, forget about mineral water. Which is very basic necessity since people could be travelling from far. And may need to have medicines or even otherwise. The windows need upgrade to at least double glaze on this road side building with very heavy traffic even at night. The carpet was dirty with stains on it, one very visible just by the window itself. The pillows were absolutely flat with no cotton that caused us sore back and neck. There were cockroaches in the bathroom. The shower head was leaking. The handle rail had rust on it. No one came to tidy up the bed for 2nd day. And we found the room as it was left when returned to retire back to another sleepless night. The night manager/caretaker was a European rude guy who I requested as a disable driver, yet didn’t allow us to park outside an empty area, over- looking his reception area, which doesn’t block any other vehicle, only to find out it was absolutely okay for another driver to park their car in the same spot, with no badge displayed. This can be checked and verified if there are any cctv monitoring. The lift needs upgrade as its not doable friendly and cannot fit a wheelchair and assistant with a disable person

Avoid at all costs - hotel in disrepair

The hotel is in very poor condition and dated The hinge to our door was loose and the door was wobbly, there were parts of the floor which were sunken and the gap for the toilet was tiny - we were visiting the toilets downstairs as we found the toilet inaccessible! The room was also dirty in places Very disappointed and ruined our weekend away in the Lakes.

Place is good for a place to rest your head. Basic but in a good way and the staff are friendly. Not gonna blow your mind but it doesn't need too.

Short stay

The hotel is situated right next to the station and town centre! It is away from the lake though. The hotel is ok, service was good and breakfast was good! However the rooms and bathroom will need to be renovated and are old fashioned! A fridge would have been good and the heating switches off which made it cold for us, especially when you are there in winter months.
