Lovely Cottage, Remarkable Village
Our stay at Howe Cottage was wonderful. It is located walking distance from Lake Windermere and quaint downtown Bowness. The cottage was clean, cozy and comfortable. It was much larger than we expected. We were so thrilled with this place.
The only problem was that VRBO and a different booking agency double booked the cottage. At 10:00pm a sweet couple knocked on the door wondering if we could help them find the key. Thankfully they found a second option after looking for an hour wirh us, but had change all of their plans. This was very strange and has never happened to us wirh VRBO. We felt terrible about this situation.

Bowness-on-Windermere
The property is in a great location, in the heart of Bowness, a few minutes walk away from the lake. Walks and hikes on the doorstep, good restaurants nearby. And not far from waterfalls, trrektop trek and water sports - perfect for a family break away. Property is also in a good condition, clean, warm and looked after, it had everything we needed, even the weather was great!
