Located in the heart of downtown, this split level one bedroom suite inside a boutique hotel has a lofted bedroom with a comfortable queen bed, a spacious living room, private bathroom, and a microwave and mini-fridge. Enjoy historic charm, exposed brick walls, clean design, and modern amenities. The VonKampen suite honors the historic building which houses the hotel.
This charming lofted suite is located within the boutique and historic Stemmerman Hotel, and situated above a popular wedding venue, 128 South and Bakery105. Charm abounds from the well preserved 1855 victorian VonKampen building, which houses the hotel and venue.
The location is a short walk away from the famous Cape Fear RiverWalk, the farmers market, restaurants, bars, entertainment, museums, and nightlife.
The shared balcony has plenty of seating and has excellent views of the Cape Fear River, the battleship USS North Carolina, and the western horizon with magnificent sunsets. There is a laundry room in the common areas.
It’s important to note that because this hotel is located above a wedding venue, there is the potential for noise on Friday and Saturday nights until 11pm. Also of note is that the bedroom can only be accessed via a staircase and is not handicap accessible.

Cutest little loft style stay!! Lovely hosts - had lovely directions and recommendations, we really appreciated their check-ins and updates. We felt so welcome. The location was amazing to explore downtown - will definitely be back, they made Wilmington all the better!
