Staff was friendly, close to dining and shopping.Great place to relax.

I was driving back to the Northeast from Florida following old US Route 17, and needed a place for one evening in Wilmington. Went to one of the popular hotel booking sites, ranked them on the basis of price, and scanned down until I saw one with a good or better rating. This was it. I checked in between 3 pm and 4 pm. Without a GPS, this place may be a little hard to find, as it is not on the main road. Which is good, because there were no traffic noises, but a principal road was two blocks away. In other words, no restaurants visible if you are not familiar with the area. The room was very clean, appealing, and the wi fi speedy. The self serve breakfast was continental, but you could make hot waffles. No eggs or meat. If I need a room again in Wilmington, I will definitely look up this place again. It was a great value.

We wanted a comfortable, safe, clean, quiet hotel for an economic price. There are a lot of fun things to do in the greater Wilmington area, so we were not hanging around the hotel during the day. We spent time both at the coast and in the downtown riverfront area (birthday weekend!), so the Jameson Inn was a nice place to return to after a busy day. We didn't spend much time watching TV or a lot of time on the internet, but we appreciated having both at times. The breakfast is not fancy, but we all found enough to eat and were glad we didn't have to go out for that. We have used the Jameson Inn before for similar purposes and would do so again!

Booked 2 rooms, 1 for me and my wife, 1 for sister in law and mother in law. The 1 with my sister and mother in laws had noisy tenants above them and their room phone did not work. My wife and I had to call hotel management for laws to inform them of noisy at 12 to 1 in the morning several times, management said they would kick them out????? ... noise did not stop.

My girlfriend and I were a late arrival to the Jameson. We were visiting family in Wilmington and checked-in for the evening after 10:00pm. When we opened the door into our room the temperature was cool though there was this overwhelming odor of carpet fresher, the kind that you sprinkle from the can. This was a pet friendly hotel and I would guess the staff was trying to mask unpleasant scents. We immediately went to the desk to request a new room, though needless to say it was the only room left. Too, the room was worn through, dated with patch repairs of paint and aged furniture. The beds were reasonable to sleep in. All in all, the Jameson was not worth the price we paid and the hotel rating was deceiving. We did our research when we booked the room; however I guess in the future more research is need to find a quality experience.

Dirty, old recliner in room with handle chewed off by an animal. Pulled back sheets to discover body hair all over the sheets. Roach crawling on door even with the lights on. And could hear entire conversations of people next door due to thin walls... Seemed like they were in our room. Only saving grace was very polite and friendly staff.

Great stay, very comfortable and staff was very pleasant and helpful. Pricing was very affordable and being on a fixed income from retirement this was a very all around experience. If there was one thing it would be to have some hot breakfast items other than waffles or frozen egg/cheese items.

Great price and less than 10 min from downtown wilmington

We were very happy with our hotel..The staff was wonderful and very helpful and the housekeeping staff kept up with our requests for anything we needed for our room.Weve stayed in many hotels and this by far was the best experience we had..We will be sure to stay there again next year!!

Great hotel for the money. Breakfast perfect, room perfect with fridge, microwave

Exceptionally nice staff/management. Hotel is located in a very convenient location. I was in town for a funeral and the location was not too far from my family's house. I would definitely stay here again.

Great value! Not in a bad location, or maybe we didn't stay long enough to really get a feel for it but conveniently close to Target as well as market street (without the traffic of market). Continental breakfast was probably one of the best I've ever had at a hotel of similar caliber. Friendly staff. Overall a great, short stay!

Stayed here until we could check into our condo for the week. Rooms were definitely not as pictured, tiny, double beds, outdated, etc. People smoking pot in the rooms in our hall so it was noticeable.

Was very well received upon arrival by friendly staff. Room was comfortable and clean. Being the azalea festival weekend accommodations were pretty pricey., making this a good value.

I'm traveling and its a great place to stay. Very clean.

Need some upgrading a guest had the nerve to say the TV was too loud wow needed to stay home or fine a five star room

My family and I decided to stay at the Jameson Inn Wilmington on our trip to Wrightsville Beach. It was a positive experience! The only cons were the room was a tad small and the amenities were outdated, but we made it work. The exterior of the building is beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly. When we decide to go back, we will definitely consider staying at the Jameson Inn Wilmington again!

Convenient to have frig and microwave in room - small rooms - small bathroom - breakfast was ok - staff friendly - would say it just ok

My room was on the front facing the parking lot. I did not enjoy hearing the footsteps and movements above me. The walls were thin too. The breakfast options were enough to ensure you wouldn't be hungry but there was little attention paid to refilling things and using cheap products (margarine but no butter). The hotel needs some spiffing up. I wouldn't stay there again for the price I paid.

When we first arrived the person at the front desk was not able to find our reservation and told us we do not have one. After searching and searching he finally found it. The rooms we requested were 2 rooms with 2 queen beds non smoking. We were told that he only has one available with 2 queen beds and the other one has a king bed. The big issues was that the king bed room was smoking. It was stinking. You could barely breathe. A very, very bad experience since that room was supposed to be for a mom and am 8 year old boy.
