And of course historic downtown Wilmington is a must. A great home base to connect to everything our coastal town has to offer. So many great restaurants and brewery's close by. Come experience why our guest have loved staying at our cottage!
Located on one of the coolest private roads in the area! A natural haven by the intracoastal waterway in coastal Wilmington NC. The picturesque 1,680 sq. ft. home is an authentic coastal cottage situated on 1 acre surrounded by magnificent great oaks. The entire home is yours for a memorable vacation stay.
The Space:
Classic Coastal Cottage. Crisp and clean, tastefully decorated throughout with a laid back surf vibe. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful with lots of natural light!
Relax on the front porch and take in the sounds of the abundant nature, and when the wind is easterly, you'll hear the ocean waves. Upon entering the home, you'll find the living room to be spacious and comfortable. You'll enjoy watching your favorite series on the 65” Roku TV. On cooler nights, switch on the fireplace electric potbelly heater and enjoy the warm glow of the flames. The dining room is furnished with rustic antiques, restored to go with the ambience of the cottage. The kitchen is fully equipped and comes with complimentary coffee and water dispenser. The oversized master bedroom has a beautiful king size bed (our guest have made a point to tell us how comfortable the bed is), with love seat couch (with pullout bed), and TV. The 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed that looks out to the front lawn and is uniquely decorated. One full bathroom with shower/tube and half bathroom. Patio/laundry room: washer and dryer, and plenty of storage space. For the beach goers, we provide beach towels, 4 chairs, cooler, boogie board, and assorted beach toys.
Covered back porch has a gas grill, table and chairs and looks out into a large picket fenced in private back yard.
Located 15 min. drive to Carolina Beach, 20 min. to Wrightsville Beach, and 18 min. to historic downtown Wilmington. If you are bringing your boat, kayak or SUP we are just 6 min. to a public boat ramp.
Resource connections to island adventures: Fishing guides, kayak excursions, surfing lessons, etc.

The community dock is off limits to our guest and is monitored by security cameras.

If you are bringing your pet, please make sure you check them in under reservations. We ask that you keep pets off the couches and beds. Thank you!

Our family had such a wonderful time at this property. There is a nice, big back yard that my dog enjoyed running around in. There was nothing that needed to be done. I would highly recommend this awesome property. I was able to meet the owner, who was a great to talk to about local things to do.

Riding out hurricane Debby

Even though the weather was not what we had hoped, the rental was fantastic. As a seasoned Vrbo renter, it is without a doubt the best supplied house we have stayed at. The beds & linens are top notch. The yard is large & flat. Perfect for outdoor games & play (when there are not 10 inches of rain 😂) It is also situated perfectly about halfway between Wilmington & Carolina Beach. And if you want some great local seafood, go to Fish Bites. It was delicious!

Great place to stay in Wilmington

My wife and I came to Wilmington for a week because we are thinking of moving there. We wanted to find a place to stay that wasn't necessarily on the beach, but close enough that we could get a feel for the surrounding area and enjoy the beach when we wanted to. This beach bungalow is in the perfect location. A stone's throw to the ICW and very nice community with lots of large trees that provide nice shade. We could feel the ocean breeze each day that would help cool things off a bit so we enjoyed sitting outside on both porches. We brought our dog who loved the back yard. The house was extremely clean, nicely decorated, and we will definitely be back. Jeff and April were very quick to respond to questions and very welcoming. Overall, an excellent experience and a great place to stay!

Short trip - pure serenity

We took a quick trip to Wilmington to check on our new build. If you’re considering a hotel for a short stay, check out this well appointed cottage instead. It suited all of our needs and was perfect for our little dog with the fenced rear yard. Very peaceful surroundings. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Highly recommend!

Sweet bungalow in quiet neighborhood

This was the perfect location for a quiet weekend getaway. The home is a nice vintage bungalow, clean and well appointed. Having the fenced in yard made it a great option to bring my dog on the trip. Will definitely stay again!

What a charming little house to stay in while visiting my son. The beds are very comfortable and the house was super clean.
