STAY somewhere (anywhere) else in Wilcox. This Super 8 elevated prices for this weekend as they anticipated selling out as there was a large wine festival in town. 2 story hotel with single interior hall. The one and main door from the parking lot, which happened to be right next to my room, literally came off the hinge in my hand. There I was holding luggage and a 80 pound glass door. The only thing holding in onto the wall was a delicate little spring. I told the manager and he did manage to get it back on the hinge BUT it never locked or was it even able to lock. SO anyone could have walked in from the street all night...and they did. Very noisy and active. Single interior hall stunk of stale smoke. Pool and hot tub are closed and they are blaming it on COVID. Not true, CDC has never shut down pools, the KOA, Holiday Inn and Days Inn next door all had operational pools. No breakfast - again blamed on COVID and again not true. Days Inn, Holiday Inn, and two other local hotels all were serving breakfast. I called Super 8 corp.and they have no policy in place on either item it is up to the hotel owner/manager. So at this hotel ,they are charging the same price but pocketing the breakfast expense and pool expense and blaming it on COVID. My wife woke up after first night with multiple bite marks from fleas of bed bugs in one of the beds. We spent our second night sharing the non-bug bed. No good reason to stay here, overpriced, substandard even for Super 8!

Staff great!! Just had bed bugs.. when we got back home found out we had bites from bed bugs.

They have the most comfortable beda and pilloes at this location .

ok room but beds are extremely hard, and bathroom smelled moldy. Shower curtain needs to be changed out it stunk badly.

I was unhappy experience with smoking smell in the passage. unclean air condition with dust. Everything is dirty. Not good breakfast too. Do NOT go there. Go to near Holiday inn.

Check in was not a great experience. The hotel was literally empty, it was literally a fight to get to check in 45 mins early. Both vending machines were out of order. The room, although a non-smoking room, smelled like smoke and the bathroom added a bit of sewer smell. The only thing good was it was right off the highway. There are a few other hotels right off the highway in this area, choose any other. Thus room is not worth the prices listed, not by long shot.

It was missing staff at front desk , a lot of construction, not very impressive but good location

Good value for the money and convenient location with friendly and helpful staff.

The room was comfortable enough. Small bathroom compared to other Super 8 motels I have stayed in. Room service was minimal and I did have to mention to the manager that the bathroom smelled of urine the whole time we were there (3 days). We also had to ask for clean linen--we got towels but not washcloths. THere was plenty of parking, a nice pool area and a very minimal continental breakfast. I did like the closeness to the freeway and restaurants.

The Super 8 Willcoz AZ did not have very friendly staff to check you in - they said no more to us than necessary to check us in. Once in our room, I could tell that the room was not very clean. We had a refridgerator and a microwave stacked one on top of the other and the top of the frige was a quater inch of dust as well as all around the perimeter of the room. There was hair in the bathtub and I found long black hair in one of the towels. The pillows were flat and stained and we went to get teo more but they only had one and it smelled like stale cigarette somke. I used the little pillow we had in our car for the 2 nights we were there.

Sorry for your dis appointment for almost everything! Yes , we have closed the pool and breakfast since several months because of Covid 19. All the hotels have closed these amenities since long time like us. I checked other hotels couple weeks before and it was the same situation over there..We are painting pool and spa so still it will be not in operation for coupe more weeks. We have not any intention to cheat or save money for this. We had already let it know to expedia group and other booking websites and updating every month. .We are not charging any extras for these amenities. There is always little more price on special events roughly 10% .Hotel business can only survive because of this. You can compare prices for those days with other hotels. You were assigned a room close to the door on ground floor were we have pet friendly rooms and it is more convenient to take pet in out easily. Exit door broken all of a sudden which was not in our control and we tried to fix it asap. We dot have any issue of bed bugs in any room in whole property. We are in process to put new beds in rooms. Some of the rooms are already replaced and waiting for other delivery of beds. we apologize for all the inconveniency caused to you. We understand your dis appointment and dis comfort and once again apologize for all this.
