Front desk was very rude.

I like the close walk to the boardwalk and location I didn’t like the pool water,too cold on a 88 digress day .. need to mixed with warm water. Water feels like 55 digress.

If you want to make a reservation at the Sunshine Motel two days in advance and show up day of reservation and have reservation cancelled by management. Without notifying you this is the place to stay! I made a reservation Thursday Sept 19,2019 for Saturday Sept 21,2019. I arrived Saturday at 3 pm earliest Checkin by my Expedia confirmation. I was waiting behind customer who was being informed that his room was cancelled without his knowledge by management . While they were giving him a hard time another team member asked me my name. I was also informed my reservation was cancelled too with no notification to me . They told me they cancelled reservation that morning 48 hours after I made it without letting me know! They had a solution they would rent me and the other couple that had their reservation cancelled an apartment that was available on site for 250.00 dollars cash of course! The room I had a reservation for was 75.00 dollars . So the owners wanted me to pay 50.00 dollars more for the night and share a room with total strangers . We both refused ! The other couple left and they now offered me the apartment for 125.00 cash and told me where to go for ATM machine. I explained if it was my business and they gave away my reservation I should get any available room at the 75.00 which was the price of my reservation . They would not accept my offer since I had driven 4 hours and now found out hotel gave away my reservation I had no choice but to accept higher priced room

Not at all as It was described, small/ tiny room barely any space. Low quality, staff not helpful. Would never go back, cameras everywhere makes you feel constantly watched.

Location was close to the boardwalk. An ice cream shop and a breakfast place is literally across the street. The beds were comfy; water pressure good. ac cold! Tv worked! Only complaints were the pool hours were inconvenient... 10am-6pm. It opened at check out time which seems a bit strange. So if you’re a morning swimmer forget about it. And it closes so early. The towels and washcloths were super cheap. I had lint in my body from drying off with the low quality towels.

Quick shore getaway

The place is managed by nice hard working people who seemed to care about maintaining the place clean. The motel itself is old, if it was remodeled and upgraded it would be an awesome place. Its not a very pretty place. What you see in the pictures is what you get. However, the rooms were clean. The patio chairs are only in the rooms in the balcony. There really aren't any amenities, the ice machine is under lock and key. Had to ask to access it. We got charged extra for our kid and for a daytime guest. Overall, the 2 nights we spent there were comfortable and quiet. The location is excellent!

the place is a dump. The room was very small but neat. Beds good but that is all. Bathroom was so small you could hardly fit. The closet was open...no door....with micro and small refrigerator in it .there was a bar above to hang up clothes but hope you have nothing long as they would cover the microwave. The staff was more than accommodating and tried to make us feel as comfortable as possible. They even made sure we had a parking space since we were coming home late. If we did not have to be at a function in less than an hour,I would not have stayed in the hotel.

The Sun Shine is a family-owned, older facility, in a very convenient location for visits to Wildwood. It has amenities and foibles similar to budget-priced motels, but at a higher price due to the location. The owners were kind and welcoming, but the facility needed some maintenance and TLC. The latch on the entry door just barely held on to the jamb, the secondary chain lock was secured by short screws held in place by inertia and paint, the bathroom door did not shut properly, and the ceiling was slathered with thick layers of popcorn paint, apparently to hide issues with leaks or craftsmanship. Though it didn't bother me much, and we had no problems, the ill-fitting entry door would make some feel unsafe, especially if it was a ground-floor room. The amenities were those of a budget motel; spotty wireless, thin bars of no-name soap, no shampoo or hair dryer, and a meager supply of thin, scratchy towels. Because we liked the paradoxical combination of great location and low price, we brought our own supplies. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and did not smell of smoke, and we accepted the poorly fitted doors and funky furniture as idiosyncratic manifestations of frugal owners with a do-it-yourself ethic. There are fancier places in Wildwood, and cheaper places offshore, but for the location, price and friendly owners, we were happy with the Sun Rise, and our experience was positive. We would consider staying again for future trips.

Office staff were very pleasant. Other reviewer stated smell of cleaning products was overwhelming- we found they same thing when we first arrived, but we turned on the AC, went for a walk on the boardwalk and the smell was gone when we returned. Room was just ok, but location was just what we wanted, right near the Wildwood sign.

Pricey for quality of room. Had to get our own towels. We were a family of four and there was only two towels. However, staff was very warm and welcoming. Very helpful. Location was good. Pool was clean. A/C worked well.

Room was disgusting. Tried to mask smell with strong smelling cleaning solution. I have severe allergies. Upon viewing the room. My throat closed up and my eyes were burning from whatever cleaning solution they used to fumigate the room. Could not stay there. Requested my money back. The motel refused to return my money. Do yourself a favor and don’t ever stay there. Booked through Expedia and they did nothing to recover my money. I did not stay there and the hotel would not return my money.

Great for a short getaway!

The owners were great, very friendly and helpful. The place is very outdated and very basic. Not an ideal place to spend a week. No dressers to put your clothes and the closet is used for your fridge and microwave. So there’s no where to put your clothes.
