Red Roof Inn Wichita East

A year ago this motel was supposed to be undergoing Renevation. Still crappy, still old, no repairs have been done in a year. Overpriced. Looks like the new owners are trying to bleed it dry. Nothing different, just a name change. Wonder if it will ever get better.

Red Roof Inn is one of the few pet friendly hotels in Wichita. That was our key reason for staying here as our kenneling arrangement fell through at the last minute. The room was small and the carpet looked like it could have stood a good cleaning. The bed was comfortable and nicely done. The pool area was very pretty and the kids there seemed to be having a wonderful time. Staff was helpful and friendly. Parking was adequate for the amount of people staying. The room had a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. We were satisfied with the value and the room. Thanks, Red Roof Inn!

We travel a lot, and choose this hotel based on price and location. Pleasantly surprised! Clean, newly remodeled, quiet (rooms and lobby), and nice staff. Would definitely recommended and would choose again.

Nice new hotel. Decent restaurants nearby. There was a Latino lady that worked the front desk that really helped us. We stayed here both on the way to Yellowstone and on the way back. Nice people. We stayed here with our parrot and our small border collie. We LOOK for Laquintas to stay in because of their pet friendly policy. The front desk lady helped with a problem we had and was great.

Room was small and somewhat dated, but very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Little unusual coloring style of paint in our room and bathroom. Somewhat damp but pool atrium with humidity was right out our window. Very beautiful indoor pool atrium and walkway. Gorgeous plants. Very clean pool area. Nice lobby but floor got slick when going from the pool to the room. Could not access your room from pool area if you were right next to the pool for security reasons. Staff was wiping up water constantly in lobby area. Staff was very polite. Very strict visitor policies to keep unpaid people out of the rooms and pool. I like that type of policy. Breakfast area was on upper floors of hotel by an old banquet area. Free breakfast. Food was good and fresh. Dining area needs updating but tables and counters were always kept clean. Would stay again. Price was very fair.

I rented a suite for a few days here, and I was surprised by the lack of quality in most things, and the cleanliness level was not the best! Despite this I've come back twice, because you simply can't beat the pool, it's paradise!

The Bed was Hard and the Manager told us to Park somewhere else when we reported an issue. The ac did not work correctly in our 1st room and we had to change rooms. They Need to start serving Vegan Food.

There were three of us that stayed for two nights reserving two rooms. The rooms were very clean and well kept. The room was well equipped with outlets for all our electronics, a refrigerator and microwave, flat screen TV and fast WiFi service. The sixth floor breakfast area was a very nice and large area that is well maintained with many fine breakfast items from fruits and cereals, to biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, waffles and more. The view from the large windows was very nice. The hotel staff was very polite, the tropical indoor pool area is a plus for relaxing and the hotel is situated near many fine restaurants and shopping. Just off the expressway makes it handy to get to. We would definitely recommend this La Quinta Hotel to anyone traveling to the Wichita area.

Have stayed exclusively at LaQuinta all across the country. While there have been one or two exceptions, as a general rule LaQuinta is consistently in the very good to excellent range in service and quality. I have stayed at Wichita East many times and I have never been disappointed.

This used to be one of the fanciest hotels in Wichita. Over the years, the lack of maintenance has dampened it's spirit. The outside is dated/faded. The lobby is very clean and pristine but that's where it stops. The rooms were clean, but falling apart. The door didn't close all the way and sounds/lights came through, even with the deadbolt latched. Beds seemed clean and were comfy. The bathroom was badly in need of repair/maintenance. The tub grout was peeling off, the grout between the floor tiles was chipped and missing. Toiletseat was loose and toilets had hard water stains (which are preventable with regular cleaning). The indoor pool is very nice athestically; small waterfall, warm water, plants surrounding it to make it feel as though it's outside. Separate hot tub more secluded by plants. But the chemical smell is so strong, it burns your nostrils. There was a local kids birthday party when we checked in so there was no hope of using the pool until they left. The screaming, crying, extremely loud music was barely muted by the door. When the party left, the pool area was a mess and housekeeping didn't seem too anxious to clean up the towels, wrapping paper, and smooshed chocolate cake the inconsiderate birthday party left behind.
