Candlewood Suites Wichita Airport

2.5 out of 5.0

poor quality TP - too thin, only cleaned room once a week, somehow missed the 'extended stay' concept - was expecting more of a 'hotel' environment with daily cleaning and at least a continental breakfast.

The suite was large and clean. The small kitchen was great. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

good location for working at the airport. I travel here for business only and this hotel works well.

Great staff and clean hotel. Great for flying out the next day

I came in town for a quick stay to watch my son play football at Friend's University. The hotel was close to the University, and the highway. Room was clean, beds were comfy, and the price was even better. I will definitely stay there again.

Very impressed! I would recommend to all who are traveling through the Wichita area.

This hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable, the pillows are those that are very soft and if you are a side sleeper, you may want to bring your own pillows. There is a little kitchen area where you can prepare some small meals. The location is close to the airport and sits just off of Kellogg Avenue (Us 400). My family lives on Maize Road and it is just minutes away.

I went on a business trip and stayed here. Room was small, but good sized for 1-2 people. Bathroom was large. Kitchenette was very well stocked. No oven but everything else including an almost full sized fridge with freezer. Dishwasher as well. Had a DVD/VCR player. Walmart is right across the street so I rented some Redbox DVDs in my down time. Also have some DVDs available at the front desk. Free wifi - with time restrictions. No free breakfast. Small work-out room. Hallways and elevator were not very clean and left something to be desired. But the room was very clean. No real lobby - a little awkward. Had issues with room key not working twice so had to go and get it reprogrammed each time which was pretty annoying. Everything else was good. Quiet. Right off the interstate so it was a pretty convenient location for everything.

New hotel with clean and well appointed suites. Sheets were soft and nice and bed was excellent . Great bathroom with nice towels. Fully stocked kitchen with more than I expected (full fridge , stove, dishwasher, etc). Big new tv with DVD player and cable. It was a very comfortable stay and a surprise for the very low price. In the west coast hotels 3x as expensive are not near as nice.

I was really impressed with this hotel! the suite was awesome because it had a kitchen and the room was modern and clean! also, free laundry!!! :)

Very pleased with our stay. Beds very comfortable. Room convenient with small kitchen and roomy. Great shower and HOT water. Very reasonable weekend price. Will look for Candlewood for future trips. 5 star

I had a wonderful experience @ Candlewood Suitesa a romantic getaway w my Love, customer service was very nice, clean lobby and room, everything updated...one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in for such a reasonable price. Being close to Wal-Mart and McDonald's was a plus! I will be going back, thank you!

I needed a hotel next to the airport and this was close, convenient and easy to get to. Free wifi is a MUST for me and I never had any issues getting on to the Internet to do work. Not super fancy, but the room was all I needed, and it was great.

The room was clean, great location for shopping and food, but just far enough off the road. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful! This is my new place to stay when I'm in town!

Amenities were good...could be better if there was access to food when getting in late & money transfers from other countries.

I appreciated the kind and helpful staff and the ease in getting into my room. Parking was great, the room was quiet and the bed and room were extremely comfortable. Great job!

We were very happy with our stay there. I have a bad back so no bed is real comfortable for me, but husband loved it. Think the price is slightly high, but that is just me. Over all, really enjoyed it. Staff very friendly and helpful.

received an upgrade into a suite that we could smoke in, the staff was totally awesome and friendly, spacious room. just wish they recycled!

A good stay for a decent price. the one and only down fall i really saw and disappointed with was it seemed like they were short staffed on the night of my check in and it took longer the expected and i wanted

This Candlewood Suites is clean, comfortable, and well-kept; it looks like it was recently renovated. Room decor is warm and inviting. Lots of light and a window that actually opens! Heat/AC unit quiet and efficient. Quiet room; if I had neighbors, I never heard them. Wonderful bed, better than mine. Large TV, crisp picture, 50-some channels. I didn't use the combo DVD-VHS player but it looked new. Wired internet connection was fast and consistent. Comfortable desk chair, sitting chair, and recliner. Kitchen could use more than two sets of dishes and flatware, but it's much better equipped than other suite hotels I've stayed at: ample pots, pans, utensils, all good quality and looking new; good coffee maker and toaster; paper towels, dishwasher and hand-wash detergent provided (annoyingly, some suite hotels don't). Toaster ovens for some reason must be checked out from the front desk, but at no charge. Roomy fridge. Candlewood amenities are superior to all the moderate-priced suite hotels I've stayed at. Fitness room is a little cramped, but the equipment is recent and works great, and the room is well cooled. I didn't use the laundry room but saw that the washing machines are FREE!! (Dryers still cost.) The Pantry is well stocked and prices are equal to or lower than convenience stores. And who operates on the honor system anymore? My few complaints are small and didn't detract from my stay. TV remote worked but was on its last legs. Bathroom sink stopper didn't close all the way, which made shaving and rinsing clothes a little harder. Clothes iron left grainy debris on my shirt, which I think was bits of evaporated minerals (the water there is rather hard). That's unavoidable unless they provide distilled water. The kitchen could be better lit (but it's better than most I've used). Candlewood Wichita gets my enthusiastic recommendation, five stars across the board. (The hotel has no restaurant, but I gave it five stars for Dining because (a) the property description clearly says that the Pantry is its only option, and (b) the Pantry is far and away the best of its kind I've ever seen in *any* hotel.) It's the most comfortable, attractive suite hotel I've stayed at in several years. I was thrilled to see that Candlewood has properties in other places I travel to regularly. I'll never go back to ... I'm not sure I'm allowed to mention other chains' names, but it's one of the leaders, maybe the leader. If you're familiar with suite hotels, you know who I mean.
