We are a family of four and stayed in The Valley Inn over a long weekend. We used Waterville Valley as a central point for a weekend of family and outdoor activities. We weren't in the room that much. Overall, clean and well kept. Very big room. We stayed on the first floor and so didn't have a good view. The first floor is right at ground level. I'd recommend going higher up for views. Very friendly service. The apple cider at check-in was a great touch!
One of us had swapped a time share week for this. Nothing available in North Conway area. Accessible to 93 but at least 1.5 hours to Foliage attractions.....North Conway Railroad and shopping, Santa's Village, Mount Washington, Fryeburg Fair, etc. Need a more lots and pans to cook for family of five and tea lot is rusty inside. No housekeeping services . Clean sheets were dropped off on Tuesday to make your own bed. Towels were replaced once. Staff that we met were neither helpful nor friendly.
We checked into the hotel and the desk clerk had our keys and room info immediately. He was so nice and very friendly! The clerk gave me 2 passes... one for me husband and one for me. The passes were free passes to be used for renting a canoe or kayak or bikes,at the nearby activity center or to use them for golf or for the sauna or steam room or swimming pool at the recreation center. When my husband and I were out in the car getting ready to bring our bags into the hotel, the clerk ran outside with two keys to a bigger room that he wanted to upgrade us to for free. So nice! The room is huge! A king size bed, a couch, work desk, refrigerator, microwave and large big screen TV.
This was our first time at The Valley Inn. I was expecting our room to be nice; but it was Outstanding! They actually put us in a suite, large bedroom, living room, kitchen/dining room, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, 2 full bathrooms; one with a whirlpool tub which I enjoyed immensely the very first night. There were 2 large flat-screen TVs. The view from the bedroom and living room was very nice, overlooking the pool area. The Manager, Justin, was very pleasant and customer service was his first priority. He went out of his way to make our stay something to write home about. I would definitely recommend The Valley Inn.
Stayed here for a few nights for a conference. The hotel staff were super helpful and friendly, I believe the man at the desk was David. He helped me find trails to walk and gave me directions. This place is an easy walk to town square. The room was nice, could use some updated decoration. The view of the mountains, especially in the morning, was really cool. I stayed in a two level room. My only complaint is there was no TV upstairs in the bedroom. I fall asleep with the TV on and pictures online showed one, but I just watched Netflix on my phone. Internet was fast and reliable.
Went to the Valley to visit family in the area and try out some new restaurants. Stayed in a premium parlor, it had a kitchenette and a full size fridge, perfect for keeping leftovers in and heating them up. Or if you wanted to done in for the night. The room was clean and housekeeping was wonderful at making sure whatever was needed was replaced daily. Very friendly housekeeping staff. The front desk was wonderful, I enjoyed them all, very personable and willing to strike up conversation about anything, feels like you're talking to friends. The GM is very accommodating and makes sure your stay is enjoyable. He's very personable and chatty and really doesn't make you feel like just another guest. My room had a beautiful view from the third floor and I slept like a baby. Zero complaints. I will return next time I visit!
Extremely disappointed by the service and rooms at the Valley Inn. My fiance and I had booked a room for a friends wedding in July. Unfortunately our flight travel was delayed and we weren't going to be into the Waterville Valley area until late (after 2am). When we arrived at the Inn, their sign was falling over and poorly illuminated making it difficult to locate. We walk into the lobby to find a basket with our keys in it along with a note saying their desk hours were only from 7am-11pm. We take the keys and walk to our room, only to open a maintenance closet with boxes and equipment everywhere- no sign of a bed, bathroom or anything that resembles a hotel room. We walk back up to the front desk where we try to get in touch with anyone from the hotel, after 10 failed tries we gave up and were forced to find a bed somewhere else. We made these reservations months in advance and just wanted a room to fall asleep after a long day of travel but instead was met with poor service and an unthinkable room. If wasn't until 10:30am the next morning when someone from the hotel actually reached out to us to try and fix it- they claim to open at 7am, so why did it take them almost 4 hours to reach out and fix the issue. We couldn't have been more upset with this property and staff.
Recently updated, very pleasant. Staff very accommodating, reasonably priced. We had plenty of room to spread out, free wifi. We had a premiere townhouse, unusual heat and humidity and no central air. Within two days temps back to normal and could sleep with windows open in early July.
Loved this place. The price was good and the rooms were clean and comfortable and equipped with a fridge. The bathroom could use some updating but not bad. The location was perfect for hiking and the two restaurants we tried were very good. The staff were extremely accommodating. It was very warm the day we arrived and their outdoor patio furniture wasn't set out yet but Dave, from the front desk and another gentleman set up a table, chairs and umbrella for us so we could relax.
Lovely room - very helpful and friendly staff - very quiet but we were staying out of season so only 2-3 other rooms were occupied. Great lounge area and very comfy beds. Lots of on site parking and very close to the amenities (shops and restaurants)
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Free parking
