Fantastic venue, very affordable, great skiing - very family friendly, cozy, accomodating. Definately one of our better vacations.

Tired and old looking. Continental breakfast was a joke. You had to pay for coffee during off hours. Temperature control left everything but your room quite chilly. Staff not particularly helpful when they could have been. Not like the good ole days when we stayed there many years ago.

The hot tub was down for our whole stay! There were times when the desk was unmanned, and it seemed like no one was working there.. Room was nice, & tub was amazing

The remote did not work to the 1980 picture tube TV. Smelled musty. Grout was missing on tile floor. Good thing it was cool at night because A.C. didn't work. Looks like they haven't put any money in to this place since it opened. Not worth the money at all. Staff was nice and outside property looked nice, but that was about it. Don't wait for the last minute to book a room and have to stay here like I did. I stayed at a truck stop with a hooker and the rooms were better.

A pleasant, rustic spot in a gorgeous part of the world. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the staff friendly and responsive. (One small problem: the drains in the sink and the shower were in need of some Drano.) Granted, this was a special event peak weekend; still, $168 for one night was steep, especially when you add $13.95 per person for an adequate but certainly not exceptional buffet breakfast. This is one reason we generally prefer B&B's.

Upon arriving late in the evening, the staff member at the desk informed me the phone to fount desk is not working. Upon entering the room I could see why the phone was out! Carpet very stained, and dirty, blinds to the window broken wouldn't close, very small room for the price, bathroom very small could hardly close the door after entering, no internet, but was advertised wyfi every room, tv small from the 1990's, no clock or alarm, bed side lights need maintenance, The beds were clean & made good. Continental breakfast the worst in my travels. My opinion this is not a 4 star Hotel!!

The hotel is a bit worn in both common areas and my room . Location is lovely, but for the price there is no reason to recommend to others, or to stay here again.

Definitely has the inn feeling which was nice to gather by the fire in the evenings. Room felt as if the bare minimum was done to keep each room clean. The size of the room was very nice and having a fire on each floor to gather at was a nice end to the day. Pool water was ice cold.

I enjoyed my stay tremendously. The room was spacious and quiet. My only disappointment is that the hot tubs were monopolized by screaming kids in the evenings.

Stayed one night for a quick getaway. The rooms are outdated, but clean. Price was very reasonable and the staff friendly.

1. We wanted to stay in Lincoln, NH. This equated to @ 25-30 mile drive. We were misled. 2. The picture in this review is NOT the hotel, not even close 3. The hotel is very dated. Like 1980's dated. Most ceilings were water stained indicating past issues 4. The room albeit clean, had an odor. Mildew / cleaning chemicals 5. 1990's 19" color TV on a stand. What hotel does NOT have flat screens ? 6. Very old fashioned ski chalet type room, furnishings, etc... 7. Continental b-fast was donuts, or muffins with juice and coffee. Nothing hot, no cereal, no tea, no milk, etc... No serving trays to carry coffee / donuts to your room ! VERY DISSATISFIED

great location in Waterville Valley, close to Nordic center and town square; lovely evening vibes in town square. lack-luster stay at Snowy Owl, however.

Hotel location was ok, but lots of bed bugs made me unable to sleep. I reserved a room for 4 people and they charged extra $15 per person per night for 2 at the time of check-in. Nothing of this sort was listed in hotel policies of my booking.

We arrived at the hotal on September 1, 2012. The attendant behind the desk was vey aware that we were going to be staying for two nights. However, we booked our stay with an outside service and we were given a price for two adults and a 17 year old child. The man behind the desk told us that there will be extra charge for a third person (around $30.00). At that point we didn't have much choice but to say OK . When our room was cleaned many of our things were gone and I was told that they thought we were going to stay just one night.

I compared prices for 4 adults one room and selected from those in the area. When I arrived, I was charged an additional $34+ as they told me it was only the price I prepayed for 2 adults. Not impressed with the company I went through (rotate around the earth) or the Hotel. This hotel is really out of the way. The beds were clean and comfortable. The staff was less enthusiastic than I would expect. Not a smile or welcome.

I came here before as a kid and decided to return as a young adult. We were celebrating a birthday and found the Snowy Owl to be just what we were looking for. We skied at Waterville on Saturday and Sunday and the Snowy Owl provided us with a discount on both days, although we only stayed Saturday night. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Village which is where you will find restaurants, shops, an ice raink, and a pond. The Village was beautifully decorated and provided fireworks on Saturday night. We also enjoyed the wine and cheese social which provided us a chance to mingle with other guests. We enjoyed our weekend very much and will definitely return.

great location for skiing Watervile. Continental breakfast could have been a little more of an assortment. Staff was very informative and gracious. Facilities are starting to be dated but served our purposes fine.

Staff could have been friendlier and the "wine and cheese" hour seemed suspiciously like the grape juice and cheese hour. Rooms were decent, and morning coffee and muffins were spot on.
