Classy place, accessible, comfortable, helpful staff
Many problems on my latest visit. One light in the bedroom was not working and when I asked to have it repaired they didn't do it until I asked again after being out on f the room all day. Tv was not working which was not fixed during my stay. Breakfast order was not correct and took two times to get it right. They did comp me for this. The spa and pool were excellent. I have stayed many times and this was a disappointment.
Really enjoyed the stay in Knockranny House. We were there the year before and thought the hotel and spa were fantastic so decided to return. Only drawback is parking can get a bit scarce on a very very busy weekend. However along with Westport which is a lovely town with plenty of beautiful scenery within a 1 hour radius I'd strongly recommend the hotel.
I booked through the site and the only thing that I would suggest is that they understated the wonderful-ness of the hotel. The location, friendliness of staff, restaurant quality, and room quality made for the highlight of our already special event. My wife, unbeknownst to me, contacted the hotel prior to our stay in order to see if they could upgrade our experience. They definitely did that and more. We had a lovely room and direct view of Croagh Patrick. Again, we will definitely be back to this hotel as often as we can get over to Ireland.
