Knockranny staff are always personable and the property is simply gorgeous. We stayed for five days and thoroughly enjoyed our time whether in one of its restaurants, the pool, the various luxurious lounges, or relaxing in our room. Large and impressive hotel in Westport located about 20 minutes walk from the centre of town. Very friendly and efficient staff throughout the hotel. Our classic double room was spacious, spotless and well appointed with a great bathroom. We had dinner in the bar and breakfast in the restaurant- both experiences were very good with excellent food and service and great views. Plenty of free parking within the landscaped grounds. Would definitely stay again - unfortunately we only had one night and would have liked to stay longer.

Lovely hotel, our room was just perfect and so spacious. The hotel staff were very professional, friendly and welcoming. The most comfortable bed ever and lovely bathroom. Breakfasts were superb as was dinner in the restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable though a little dated.

A lovely hotel in a great location, overlooking the local town and valley. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, though the coffee cups supplied could be a little larger. Decor throughout is obviously of the highest quality, but is quite dated. Most of the furniture is functional but very old. A good spread for breakfast, though the cooked breakfast is quite 'dry', which could be alleviated with a small serving of beans perhaps. Small gripes over a lovely stay.

For a larger resort style hotel, I thought the food was well above average. The room and bed comfort were excellent and a big plus for a non left hand side driver, a oarking lot with a not only sufficient space, but enough open swing room to get in and out of the lot with ease.

Good stay for 2 nights. Small double bed and room small for rate we paid. Bit disappointed in room size bearing in mind what we paid. Hot tap very noisy at sink. Cooked Irish breakfast dry and bit overcooked but breakfast on second morning was fabulous. We had poached eggs and salmon from menu. Reception and housekeeping team friendly and good/efficent. Leisure staff very professional and friendly. Lovely gardens and grounds. Good location. Beautiful hotel.
