I expected a grand old historical hotel. The front facade looked historic, but the rooms are in separate buildings that were very small 1950’s motel rooms. They tried to modernize the room, but it still felt ‘50s.

The bedding was clean. The bathroom floor looked filthy. Had a couple little spiders in the sink in the morning, who knows where else... I didn't mind the old style decore, just clean the place up a bit. It can look old, and still be clean.. We wouldn't stay again or recommend.

Awesome stay in a beautiful spot

This was a terrific hotel! Manager made time to pick me up from the airport and drive me back, the rooms are classic, clean and have great historic touches, and the location is perfect for exploring the park.
Amazing and comfortable lobby to sit in, and great gift shop.

I chose it because it was a vintage hotel and because it was lower in cost than other hotels in the area. My only problem was one morning there was no coffee and the staff doesn’t show up till after 8 am, so we had to go buy coffee elsewhere. The walls are also kinda thin, so you can hear the conversations and snoring of the people next door and below you. Everyone seemed to go to bed and quiet down at a reasonable hour, so not a big bother. Everyone was getting up early to go to Yellowstone park, so that didn’t annoy anyone either. You have to understand there are trade offs with antique buildings.
