We had an amazing weekend! Great location, beautiful home, but what really made a difference was the special touches, sweet surprises, and host responsiveness! We will definitely recommend the Historic Blue House to friends and family!

Our host was very responsive, and we enjoyed being so close to the Purdue campus. We walked to basketball game and every driving trip to campus or restaurants was less than 10 minutes. We also enjoyed a great welcoming gift from the host’s family.

Everything was great! Welcomed by a cake in the fridge was a thoughtful treat. Host was very understanding on confusion about how to leave things. Thanks for letting me have a much needed family time with my kids and grandkids.

The house was perfect for a weekend at Purdue! The host was incredibly friendly and even left us a delicious welcome cake, which was such a thoughtful touch. The home was cozy, clean, and very welcoming, with plenty of games to enjoy. The location was also great- it only took about 10–15 minutes to walk to Mackey. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great home for a weekend or short stay.

This was our second stay at the Historic Blue House and it we loved it! We had a cake baked for us and it was delicious! The home is clean and organized with a ton of space.The kitchen is perfect for all the food prep I had to do for our family get together. The host provided prompt responses to my inquiries. Definitely a 10 out of 10 we’ll more than likely stay again next year!!

What an Excellent stay! The host was in constant communication. We only had 5 staying there but could have had more and there was plenty of parking. The house was super clean and the location couldn't be beat. Hoping to stay here again in the future.

BOOK THIS HOUSE! beautiful large home with everything we needed! Comfortable beds, enough lounging space and walking distance to Ross Ade and Mackey Arena which was great for Purdue Homecoming weekend. The owner was very accommodating and replied quickly to a couple questions we had. No complaints, awesome stay!

Our only complaint was the lack of a TV all of the first night and part of the second. Host was out of town and unable to come to the property to fix the issue until the second night...not his fault but stunk we couldn't watch football on Sunday evening. Otherwise, great location for us who wanted to be close to the golf course!

Attentive and Thoughtful Host

The home was a nice size for all of us to be able to spend time together on the main level with plenty of seating. We did have some issues with the code (which could have been that I was not looking for the clear directions in the correct spot) BUT the owner was very quick to respond and help! The hosts even provided special personal touches to make us feel very welcomed.

We enjoyed this spacious home with a large kitchen. It was a perfect place to stay, close to Purdue campus. The host was so thoughtful, with a nice “welcome cake” and many suggestions for things to do in the area.

Lovely house for gatherings

Convenient to Purdue, Happy Hollow park (2 mile walk & playground) , Frank Lloyd Wright’s Samara House. Northwestern Avenue does have fast-moving cars. Only one oddity: cook pots were absent for my short stay. Make sure they are resupplied before your visit…other than that, fabulous, good wifi, big kitchen.

Lovely older home

Cedric and his family have a lovely older home with great touches that make your stay enjoyable. We loved all the family friendly features they included: an arcade, air hockey, Foosball, kids dinnerware, a pank-n-play, etc. Would definitely return to stay here

Wonderful house close to campus

We picked this for a weekend built around a basketball game. It was accessible, plenty of parking, a TON of space inside for hanging out, and the place was comfortable and well-stocked with everything we'd need (e.g. towels, etc.). Cedric is great!

Great Stay!

This house was large enough for our family and pups. Comfy beds and great location. We stayed over Thanksgiving, and were very happy to find the kitchen large and well-appointed for cooking! The owner, Cedric, is very helpful and responsive - and the touches that are left by his children are great! I had an issue with the coffeemaker, and he brought a new one to us within an hour! The only issue with this house is the seating in the living room. The sofa is unbelievably uncomfortable - as in, someone sits down and the other person falls over. You can feel the sofa bed parts beneath the cushions as well. Possibly damaged by previous renters? Unfortunately, it is the only seating other than dining chairs and an office style chair. More seating, more comfy seating would be greatly appreciated - especially for the longer stays.
