We specifically stayed at the Ibis fir location reasons. The room was tidy enough but we were let down by housekeeping. No hand soap or coffee/sugar sachets fir the first night/morning and after housekeeping had come the next day we still had no coffee and sugar despite seeing them in house keeping trolley. Upon checking the room when vacating we discovered our bed was in fact broken and by the looks of it it hadn't been vacuumed underneath for the best part of 12 months. The little things are what makes the hotel in my opinion and in Ibis's case it was lacking. Despite that location is great and bed comfortable and quiet other than patrons in the corridor (no traffic or late night noise despite being centre if the city).
We have stay ovetnight at the Ibis a few times for various reasons. It is well located for all of the Wellington CBD and when you manage to get one of the $120 per nite with free breakfast deals it is hard to beat value wise in Wellington. We have found it clean and tidy with friendly helpfull staff. Its not a 5 star hotel but ad mentioned its great value.
I am an Accor Staff working in Queenstown and I can enjoy the discount of room as well as food. Really appreciate and thank Emma in reception provided the free BKF buffet to my partner and me. Overall service was quite nice and receptionists were friendly. BTW, Wellington is definitely busy place in NZ and doesn't have any free parking in town.
The Ibis is centrally located for shopping and visiting attractions such as Te Papa. It is clean and reasonably priced for it's location. It is a bit lacking in character.......it has none. But all in all a good place to stay when visiting Wellington on business or pleasure.
The room was ready so we were able to check in early which is always great. Comfortable beds, large room with tea and coffee facilities. The shower was a little weak but the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Great stay at a great hotel.
As all Ibis' are, this hotel was lovely to stay in! excellent location, central to everything, friendly and accommodating staff! the buffet breakfast was lovely too! The elevator was a little annoying to have to use with having to put your room card in, but that definitely shouldnt deter anyone one! if you have to stayed in an Ibis hotel before, do yourself a favour and stay here :)
The Ibis met our needs for our brief trip to Wellington. The beds were comfortable and the room clean and well appointed. It was nice to have a bathroom with room to move. The included breakfast had plenty of choice. The property is very central making it easy to walk to attractions/shopping etc in the CBD
Stayed here recently when in Wellington for a conference.... Very central to where we needed to be..... Service is amazing.....nothing is a bother to the staff that were there.... Will be back again next year
The Ibis Hotel is a great place to stay due to its easy access from public transport. Very close to many places of interest, cafes and shopping. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Our room on the fourth floor was comfortable, clean and quiet. We enjoyed the excellent variety at breakfast. I think the Ibis is good value for money. We will stay again.
Thank you so much Ibis staff members for organising an early check in. It really helped us. Again thanks for emailing us about the charger we left behind. Good place to stay. Good breakfast And good staff members.
