stayed here with a co worker and it was good enough, i wouldnt say its luxurious, its in a very good location though... the front desk lady help me out in getting a cab on a cheaper rate for like 30dollars i think its the green cab... like the convenience of the place... there is no free wifi which was weird for me, stayed in different hotels in welly and previous once always have free wifi

Here for business and have stated before. Not a first choice, but very conveniently located. The staff are really nice and the rooms are clean and functional. To be honest, the only really important grip I have is that the bed / mattress and pillows are really sud standard. If they could upgrade these, I would honestly be happy. It is priced well and for a reason, but please don't skimp on probably the most important part of being a hotel. People go there to sleep...

I always like staying at the Wellington Ibis. It all works smoothly - online chack-in helps reception staff. It is so convenient in central CBD and good value. Breakfast does not have a vast choice but perfectly adequate - beautiful croissants. Evening meal absolutely fine. Bed very comfortable indeed.

Basic, no frills hotel. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Good value for money. Excellent situation in Central Wellington, near the waterfront. Good croissants at breakfast. No room service as such but can order meals from a limited menu and collect them from the bar.

We stayed one night as we both had medical appointments early the next day. Check in was smooth, no problem getting into the carpark, room was spotless and comfortable, albeit small. However for one night it provided all we needed. The shower stall was a bit small, but we managed. I would go back again for a single night stay, not sure about a onger time. However we had a discount deal and didnt really expect a big room. Very impressed with the clealiness though!

The staff were very efficient and friendly. WE chose the hotel as it was walking distance to Wow and had car parking. The rooms were a reasonable size however the bathroom a little small. We all were surprised with different coloured curtains however they did grow on me.

I stay here a lot for work and usually find it excellent. On my last visit however I woke up to find no hot water (it affected a few floors of the hotel not just mine) so I couldnt shower before a full day of work meetings. I went to reception to tell them and was told "yes, we know, we are fixing it" There was no apology at all and no offer of any refund or even a free breakfast or coffee. The main things people want and expect when they stay at a hotel are a bed, a shower and a toilet. It is really bad when one isnt supplied - we all know things go wrong now and then but surely the Ibis should have offered all of us who were affected something to make up for the inconvenience?

Was the smallest hotel room I have had Not value for the cost. Will not go back. We had a late check out til 5.00pm but left early. Room was dated could do with an update. Breakfast was not worth $35.00

This is a well located hotel, very near to Lambton Quay and also reasonably close to the CBD and railway station. Rooms are small but not as bad as some of the shoe-boxes I've experienced in Ibis hotels. Good stuff = friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was good, heating / aircon worked well and double power point for laptop and phone charging was easily accessible above the desk without crawling around on hands and knees and moving furniture like normally happens in hotels. Bad stuff = laundry was not delivered back to my room and I had to go down to reception late at night to collect, shower is too small, only one bar of soap (not replaced even after 3 nights stay) and the worst thing of all was, no hot water on the last morning, which apparently was hotel-wide - sorry but in a modern hotel, there simply is no excuse for this. However having said that, the Hotel's General Manager fronted up at breakfast and apologised to me (I hadn't complained yet). The apology was caring and genuine and I can see that the friendly approach of the staff starts at the top. If I was rating this hotel based on the staff it would get 10/10

From my arrival to the time I checked out the staff looked after me and provided all the benefits that Accor promise, and what's more I did not have to ask, remind or inquire about these, they were simply part of my stay. The restaurant staff too were excellent and food was lovely. We came back from a late function and thought a desert for ourselves a some friends that were with us would be a nice finish to the evening. The Staff were more than happy to serve us even though it was only desert we were wanting. The location in the CBD is excellent and with underground parking makes Ibis the perfect location for us with easy access to Taxi's. Looking forward to our next stay Ibis, top marks
