Small room but quiet and very clean. Great location in the center of the city, very convenient if you are planning visit some places in the city, to use ferry or train. Front desk service ok. Parking has to be booked in advance otherwise you need to look for parking place outside what during week days can be challenging. .
Swift check in and out very pleasant staff nice clean room pity not much of a view but nice and quite. Very handy for the shops places to eat and entertainment. Had one breakfast here during our stay which was ok but plenty of other places nearby.
Good location clean rooms comfortable mattresses. Restaurant on site however we didn't eat in so can't comment. In the centre of town. Some rooms have restricted views soon preference I would ask for a level 5 or 6 with a view. Free walking tour ask at desk
Ibis hotel is ideally situated near the Wellington cable car, Countdown supermarket, McDonalds, shops, Harbour and its restaurants and more. The hotel is a lovely 15 minute stroll along the harbour foreshore to the city or approx. 15 minute walk along the streets. Room 829 has a fridge, cupboard space, iron and board, flat screen tv, king bed which extremely uncomfortable as well as every pillow in the room, bench and bench seat, a very tight shower cubical in a fair size bathroom . Breakfast is available at additional cost. Hotel also has guest laundry, guest internet computers in the lobby, free and fast wifi. Printing of airline boarding passes is available by emailing documents to the hotel reception. We encountered towles that were holly, literally had a big hole in the middle. When arriving into Wellington Airport, catch the Queensgate Bus 91 airport flyer $9.00 per pax to the city centre, travel time is 30 mins from the airport to the Wellington. cablecar stop. Return journey departs out front of David Jones department store. Better value hotels are nearby...
Great location in the CBD and close to all shopping. Very clean premises and most staff were very helpful. When booking in we were told we would have limited wifi by one staff member and I later heard another staff member tell another guest checking in there was unlimited wifi. When I queried it she gave me the special code so not sure why we were initially told it was limited. We enjoyed a great breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. We were dissapointed to have to pay $25 per night for parking as we were not informed of this cost prior to arriving and there were not a lot of parking spaces. We did laundry here and would recommend using the laundry on the higher floor as it had more machines and dryers. Would stay here again no problems.
We stayed 1 night in Ibis Wellington and we loved it. The location is excellent, at walking distance from the train- and busstation, very close to a new Countdown and at walking distance of all the things to visit in Wellington.Remember, if you arrive in Wellington with the Interislander ferry, there is a free shuttle service from the ferry harbour, to the railway- and busstation and from here it is just a short walk to the Ibis.Reception is fast and friendlly. Our room was big, comfy, clean and quiet and the beds offered good sleep quality. It was one of the most comfy rooms we had in new Zealand. Because it was my birthday, the hotel offered a bottle of tasty New Zealand wine and this was a very nice surprise. Thank you again! I recommend the Ibis Wellington!!
We stayed here for a couple of nights before our ferry across to south Island. Clean and comfy room and helpful receptionists The hotel is very conveniently situated, and is near the pier where we had decent food in a Munich beerhouse lookalike. Breakfast is in the room adjacent to the reception area, all very nice, fruit, toast, cereals, pastries etc.
Hotel is located in the busy/central area of Wellington - walking distance to many attractions and the harbor. I specifically chose a hotel with parking, only to find out that there is not enough parking for all hotel guests ! So, if you don't make "a special reservation for the parking space" - you will have no choice but to park on the street. Some streets around have 2 hrs of a free parking, but in this circumstance you have to move your car every 2 hrs or you can get a ticket. It was just a stressful and annoying experience. Rooms were very small and we had an ugly view of roof/wall of another part of the hotel. Breakfast was included in our choice - not great, but warm and definitely plenty of choices. Front desk was nice. Price was quite high for the tiny room ( over 200 NZ dollars), but perhaps it's just because it was Wellington.
Good centrally located modern city hotel. To be fair, I chose this hotel because I was booked here for a conference and decided to come in a couple days early and explore. My good fortune. Easy check in with nice rooms, comfy beds, a handy little desk, good blackout drapes, mini fridge, iron, and tea maker in the room. Best stall shower ever. The room lights (and lift) work on your key card, so energy conserving. My room overlooked the Featherston Street which was quiet, though one of my neighbors made a bit of noise. Staff is friendly and welcomes questions. Wifi is extra but if you join their rewards program it is free (tipped off by staff!) Breakfast not included but there is a restaurant on site and nearby coffee shops. Most major sites are close and it is walking distance everywhere. Plenty of convenience stores, a couple of markets and a few pubs nearby. They will store luggage.
Compact, clean room with comfortable bed - great location (handy for airport bus and easy to walk to pretty much anywhere in the city) - female reception staff were very friendly and helpful - happy with our stay here and would come back again.
