Have you ever stayed in a Grain Silo? This Silo house is a one of a kind unique getaway just 30 miles south of DFW. On 10 gorgeous acres of fields and forest. With a gated entry and all the privacy and peacefulness for a great stay. Enjoy breathtaking sunrises with a cup of coffee on the bedroom balcony. Living room has a comfy sofa bed. Start a fire and take in some of the most beautiful sunsets. Then lay back on the Lounge chair and wonder at a 360 veiw of the stars. No city lights. You may be in the country but with this silo you will have plenty of luxury. Melt away the city in our two person Steam sauna shower equipped with Radio and color changing lights. You set the mood. 60' UHD Samsung TV with Theatre sound and BlueRay player and Firestick. LP player with LPs in the bedroom, great little place to dance. Have a picnic by the seasonal pond in the back (no fish or swimming ). Take a stroll in the BigFoot Forest or lay back take a snooze or watch the wild life. Follow us on Facebook @ The Silo House. There is a security camera for out side protection. Shared property with The Yurt in the Woods and The RV Bunk House also available for rent.

The silo and the property are very lovely, it was a wonderful getaway. The shower was very relaxing and the bed is incredibly comfortable. We would definitely stay again, and they had the world's cutest dog come by to say farewell when we were getting ready to check out. We highly recommend it! Google Maps doesn't map quite to the right place, but if you drive further down Cox road you'll find the correct number, and the host was very responsive and kind in helping us find our way!

The place was very cute. The only disappointment was there was no hot tub as is shown in the picture. I rented this for my son and his wife to have a quiet place to stay the night if there wedding.

The Silo House was calming. I needed me time and that is what it offered. I felt safe and secure. Location is perfect. I totally decompressed. I had some great adventures exploring downtown Waxahachie. The ODD Festival was happening and it was so fun. The only downside, there is AC in the bedroom, however it can’t keep up with the Texas temps. The bedroom was hot. But thank you for the extra fan. It helped some. True Texans won’t mind it. lolI hope to return with my husband, or, for more me time. Thank you Cathy it was a pleasure meeting you.

A Fun VRBO Getaway

The property was beautiful! The hosts put a lot of effort into making this place a beautiful spot to stay. The icing on the top of the already wonderful cake is the hot tub we enjoyed after a long day at the Renaissance Fair. We would absolutely stay again!

Hidden Gem

Not enough wonderful things to say about this hideaway! The love and detail is evident throughout the property and inside the Silo (home). The hosts are super available when needed and the check in and out process seamless. The hot tub was a nice addition to the relaxing stay, pretty much feeling like you are in luxury, but also out in nature... One of my favorite features is the balcony where at night, you get to see the stars as well as city lights far into the distance. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. I would stay there again the next time that I go to the Scarborough Renaissance Festival. 10 out of 10 stay! :)

Amazing property

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend while visiting Scarborough Ren Faire. The silo house was very nice. Loved the eclectic decor style! The property grounds are very nice too. Will be back for another visit.

Peaceful Stay

It was exactly as advertised. Extremely unique!! The owner's made a concerted effort to respect my privacy--although unecessary, as they were the kindest folks. If I'd had the opportunity, I would've spent some time with them at a bon fire, but my work shcedule just wouldn't allow it. It was an extremely peaceful and comfortable stay and will definitely stay again when in that area!! Thank you Lee and Cathy!

Amazing Rustic Home

Comfortable and Beautiful

The Silo House is unique but it’s also comfortable. The furniture is functional and there are great indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy. Owners were on property while I was there but super respectful of privacy. I enjoyed my time and hope to visit again!
