Clean and quiet.

Mary was a great and friendly receptionist. The room was very small, but we had everything we needed. Our only actual complaint was the luggage cart, not a good 1st impression, one wheel was broken and another flat. It was worth 3 trips to the car with luggage, etc, not to have to use it again.

Towel Shortage ????

In a 4 person room we only had 2 of each towel & washclothes. We were there for 3 days (Thurs-Sunday). I had to ask for towels and told I had to give them our dirty towels. But then they didn’t have enough washcloths. All I asked for was towels to get us through our stay. I’ve never had such difficulty getting clean towels. Very frustrating when we were in and out a lot and one day I failed to get towels for the next day. Normally there are plenty of towels at hotels where we never need to ask for them. Go to the front desk and they tell me to see the laundry person for towels. I’m the guest running around trying to get towels for our room for the next day and everyone pushing me off to someone else. We were in a double queen with only 2 towels.

I called for service, because my TV was not working right. She asked me what room and I asked my girlfriend what room and she said 146 in the girl hung up on me. The breakfast area had a TV. I asked the girl to put it on she turned it on, but said she needs to get the remote. She came back and said sorry. No TV.

The grounds needs work.A four foot tall weed at the door. Sidewalk is broken up making it a hazard. The front ground sign is missing one side. Overall the place really needs a refresher.

Upon arriving at the hotel, I got there one hour before check-in. The hotel Clark told me for $20. I could check in early. I decided to grab lunch. I fully understand this policy. When we got back, there was a different clerk. Our TV was broken. Our room was moved From the second floor to the first floor. About an hour after turning in the keys to the lady at the front desk, I was in my room and someone tried to gain entry. I had the safety lock on the door and then went up to the front desk. Going to find out it was the front desk lady saying that I had had someone else in the room I was moved from When I got there. There was a police officer waiting for me when I told her this she argued with me over the room number. I was moved from after looking at the original paperwork. She realized that it was a different room not the one that I had previously been occupied in I was sent asked by the police officer for identification, even after he found out, it was not my room that somebody else was in. I was never given an apology or anything or an explanation until I went to the front desk, the front desk clerk open the door said hello I replied with hello, not knowing it was her proceeded to the front desk. The police officer was there asked me for identification, and like I said earlier, everything was ironed out, but I was not even given an apology for the harassment I was put through. I will never stay at this Microtel again I was treated very poorly and unfair.

Checked in fine and put our belongings in room. Left hotel and when we returned later in evening and laid on the bed near the window, it was horrible. The mattress was so bad when you laid down, you rolled to the middle of the bed "Continental breakfast" was a joke. Got to the breakfast room at 8:30 a.m. and the pancake maker (pancake made on a conveyer belt) was non-functional. Desk clerk came to fix it which took about 10 minutes. Breakfast items consisted of two onion bagels and four cinnamon/raisin bagels, and no bread for toast. Fruit consisted of one banana and three dried up oranges. Dry cereal in a plastic container. (No eggs). Hotel staff never came in to see if more supplies needed to be brought into breakfast room. We were a party of five adults (2 rooms) and that certainly wasn't the hotel continental breakfast we have had at other hotel chains.

Too Bad So Sad

The staff was friendly but from the minute you drive up the exterior's deferred maintenance evokes a downtrodden feel. Pull the weeds, power wash the siding, repair the sidewalks. Basic attention to detail would make a huge difference. It doesn't take a huge investment to create a welcoming streetscape. This place doesn't have it.
